Question 4 – Who would the audience for your media product be?

The magazine was mainly aimed towards males when I produced it, so straight away you think this girl who was interested in the magazine wouldn’t fit in with the ‘target audience’ but she dresses fairly swag and her music taste is hip hop and rap. Her interests include playing the guitar; she says she enjoys covering Kanye West songs and Drake.

The way this male dresses says to you he enjoys rap and hip hop as he has an American jock top on, also his hair is stylish. He enjoys beat boxing and is very much into old school rap music, for example N.W.A, Dr. Dre, Tupac, but he also confesses that he does enjoy the new rap group OFWGKTA which is why the magazine appealed to him.

This lad has his ‘Dre Beats’ on which obviously suggests he has a passion or love for listening to music. He enjoys rapping himself, and producing live music with friends. His dress sense also suggests he likes hip hop/rap as it’s a very laid back outfit.
