What Companies Did We Use?

For our production company we decided to make our own ident. We went for ‘Zoetrope Productions’ because we found out that a Zoetrope was one of the first forms of filming. One problem we came across after making the ident was that the name has already been taken by an American production company.

For our distribution company, we also made our own ident called ‘Nightlock Incorporated’ it was inspired by the berry from ‘The Hunger Games’ and we chose it because the name sounded fitting for our film opening.

Major or Minor?To begin with, our plan was to make our film opening seem big budget so we could use the companies: Warner Bros & New Line Cinemas. BUT we were advised not to do that as we would get more marks for making our own ident that would be more of an Indie company, very low budget. Therefore, on deciding that both our production and distribution will be smaller independent companies, we made our own in Motion.

We came to this decision because our film does not look big budget so there would be no point in including big budget companies

How Is It Suited?I think that our Distribution company is best suited to distribute our film because it is an independent, low budget company, yet it is also good quality and reliable therefore many cinemas would want to show the film in their cinema.

Moreover I think it is best suited to our film because we worked on a low budget, so using this company would mean that we wouldn’t have to spend a fortune on distributing our film.
