QUESTION 3WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK

SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

Facebook•When gathering feedback for my second screening, I posted the video on to my Facebook, so that friends and family can comment and say there opinions. • This helped me a lot, especially with Yvette Rees comment, where she gave me some tips on how to improve myself, which is something that I later than changed.

My Own Facebook Page• When creating my own Facebook

page for my music video, and to advertise my artist, I also thought it would be a great opportunity to get feedback on not just the video, but the page aswell especially the ancillary tasks such as the magazine advert.

• All by Liam Conlon, the man I asked to be the cover of ‘Hoodie’ in my final products, and it was very informative, especially as he has been with this journey with me.

YOUTUBE• After posting my video on Facebook,

I then started to get more views, and after 1 ½ months, I went from 0 views, to 102.

• By the help of Facebook, and people giving positive feed back, more people were viewing my music video, and giving me feedback.

• One feedback was my first feedback from YouTube is by LIMEN345 and he suggests things that I could change to make better such as the ending, where the sequence takes place.

Analyse and take critism.

I could see where Yvette Rees was coming from, his head in the performance shots were cut of due to the fact of me zooming too much in when it comes to uploading videos from a DSLR camera, and not setting it in the correct setting. So I wanted this video to be perfect, so I went back and changed all the clips, and got his head back.

Another successful thing about this comment, is that she notices the costume and is clear on what the storyline of the narrative is, which is what I wanted my target audience to understand and relate to.

Liam Conlon’s comment I felt was positive yet negative. The positives of the critism was that he understood the story line well, which was the main goal to achieve by the end of the final product.

However when he says I should ‘Look into more camera techniques’ I felt that I already did that, using all these camera shots you see around you, and many more such as mid-shots and establishing shots.

However to take what he said into consideration, I added more angled shots, to show dominance with the woman breaking up instead of the man.

Analyse and take critism.

LIMEN345 had some real constructive critism, and pointed out to me that the second screenings ‘rewind back in time’ scene was too long, and I needed to speed it up, which I totally agree with.So when finalising my final product instead of it being 12 seconds long, I placed it at a short 5 seconds long, speeding it up almost twice as long, and it looked better than it did before.
