What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Media institutions that publish similar/ related magazines?

A media institution that publishes magazines that are similar to mine is Prometheus Global Group. Prometheus Global Group own and publish Billboard magazine which is a similar magazine to my magazine as it focuses on pop music but occasionally features rap artists and indie artists.

Another media institution that publishes similar magazines to mine is Bauer mediagroup.Bauermedia group own Kerrang magazine,Q magazine and MOJO magazine.

Which institution would be most suitable for my magazine?

I think that Bauer media group would be a good choice for my magazine as they have worked with several other music magazines which have similar style content to mine. They have worked with Kerrang magazine,Q magazine and MOJO magazine.Kerrang magazine has a different music content to my magazine however they do feature some of the same artists that feature in my magazine such as The Arctic Monkeys.Q magazine is similar to my magazine as it has similar music contents as it features lots of different music styles and artists. Mojo magazine is also similar to my magazines music content as it features a lot of indie artists in their magazine. I have selected Bauer magazine as my institution choice because I think they have a lot of experience with similar magazines and they aresuccsessfulin their publishing.

Bauer owns more than 570magazines,over300 digital products and 50 radio and TV stations over the world.

Bauer published their first magazine in the UK in 1987 with Bella magazine.

Since then Bauer has become the largest consumer magazine publishing company in the UK.

My magazine would be able to be marketed through the radio and TV as Bauer own several radio and TV channels all around the world. Bauer also advertises their products through social media. For example Q magazine (owned by Bauer) has a Facebook page, a twitter account and its own website.
