Transcript of Question 1.3
My double page spread also follows many conventions of a music magazine
Double page spreads in music magazines usually have one main image on one of the pages to catch the eye, and then text on the other page. I have followed this convention but used an image spread across two pages because I thought it looked more pleasing to the eye. On the page where the text is, the image is not important so does not need to be completely seen.
By lines are usually put under the textto give creditto the writer. I have used thisconvention bynaming the writer underthe text.
A stand firstis also oftenused to givethe reader asmall bit ofinformationor teaser asto what the article will be about.
Artist namesare also usually in bigand bold fontto tell the reader who the article isabout. I havefollowed thisconvention. I put all the text on top of a
slightly lightened black blockto make it stand out more.
I also used page numbersto follow conventions of allother double page spreads.
I used a quoteto make the reader want toread the restof the article.
The website isalso advertised.
