Conventions of Genre Characteristics Screen shots of my music video is on the left hand side and screen shots from the right hand side are from Female R&B music videos. This shows that I tried to maintain some conventions in my music video. I believed I included these characteristics well because they made sense in my music video.

Camera Codes and Conventions

These are numerous shots of my video and Female R&B videos. Extreme close ups of text messages for the audience to read and close ups of the artist facial expressions.

Codes and Conventions: CD CoverThe text is towards the bottom of the page because it brings the main focus on the artist. There is a convention of a Drop Cap as the first letter of the artist name is unique and it has its own style.

The back cover of my DigiPak is plain and simple and I kept this convention from a Rihanna CD Cover. I ensured I had text about the record label and the artist themselves. However I included a barcode on my album cover like what other D Covers contain.

How the music video relates to the audience through meanings

• My music video and ancillary texts have the connotation of my artist being cheated on by her husband. This relates to general real life stories and members of my audience could relate to this music video. My music video ends with my artist leaving her house to suggest that if someone is hurting you in your life is best to let go.
