Commission Chief Executive Directive No. 07/12: Protection of Personal Employee Information

1 Purpose: Where an industrial instrument provides for the release of personal information to a third party that information is not to be provided to the third party unless the employee provides express written consent to the employer specifically authorising its release.

2 Application: This directive applies to all chief executives and employees under the Public Service Act 2008.

3 Legislative Provision: Public Service Act 2008 – sections 52(2) and 53.

4 Effective date: 31 July 2012

5 Inconsistency: Pursuant to section 52(2) of the Public Service Act 2008, this directive prevails over an industrial instrument.

6 Definitions: “Personal Information” is information about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained from the information.

“Third Party” means a person or entity which is not the employee or a government entity.

“Industrial Instrument” as defined in the Public Service Act 2008.

7 Ruling: Where an industrial instrument provides for the release of personal information to a third party that information is not to be provided to the third party unless the employee provides express written consent to the employer specifically authorising its release.

6 Definitions: “Employment Security” includes job security, maximising permanent employment, references to the Government’s Employment Security Policy and other like provisions. Employment Security does not include the Termination, Change and Redundancy (TCR) provisions contained in awards.

1) Part 7 – Employment Security and Permanent Employment, of the State Government Departments Certified Agreement 2009

2) Appendix 21 – Employment Security Policy, of the State Government Departments Certified Agreement 2009

3) Clause 2 – Employment Security, contained in Appendix 5 of the State Government Departments Certified Agreement 2009: New Provisions Applicable to Employees Engaged in Operations in Youth Detention Centres

4) Clause 4.1.1 – Job Security, of Part 4 of the Transport and Main Roads Operational Employees’ Certified Agreement 2011

5) Clause 2.3 – Employment Security, of the QBuild Field Staff Certified Agreement 8 (2011)

“Contracting Out” includes references to the Government’s Policy on the Contracting-Out of Government Services and other like provisions. Contracting Out does not include the TCR provisions contained in the awards.

2) Appendix 22 – Queensland Government Policy on the Contracting-out of Services, of the State Government Departments Certified Agreement 2009

1. This notice may be cited as the Objections to Proposed Road Closure Notice (No 27) 2012.Application for road closure [s.100 of the Act]

2. Applications have been made for the permanent and temporary closure of the roads mentioned in the Schedule.Objections

3.(1) An objection (in writing) to a proposed road closure mentioned in the Schedule may be lodged with the Regional Service Director, Department of Natural Resources and Mines, at the regional office for the region in which the road is situated.

Urban Land Development Authority Act 2007

NOTICE TO VEST UNALLOCATED STATE LAND

Under the provisions of section 100(1)(b) of the Urban LandDevelopment Authority Act 2007 (the Act), the Urban LandDevelopment Authority (the Authority) declares that unallocatedstate land is vested in the Authority.

The unallocated state land vested in the Authority is Lot 1 onCrown Plan B337172 registered in the Department of NaturalResources and Mines being formerly part of the developmentlease to the Authority dated 2 February 2012, granted over Lot 1on Crown Plan B337172 and Lot 7 SP243869.

The Authority has deemed it is necessary to declare that this landis vested in the Authority to facilitate the provision of affordablehousing in the Blackwater Urban Development Area in accordancewith the Act.
