Queensbridge Primary School App!
We are very excited to announce that our new App is live in the App store and Google Play and is now ready to launch! Please do download and start exploring by searching for ‘Queensbridge Primary School’. We will now be sending this newsletter out as a ‘Push Notification’ via the app or you can
find it on the website in the ‘News’ section. Please support us with this decision as the size of the school means that we have been printing out around 500 copies which takes
ages and uses valuable resources, time, paper and ink! A few copies will remain available in the school office for those without smart phones or ac-cess to the internet. Hopefully the App will be really useful in keeping our families up-to-date with news relevant to your child(ren)’s year groups as well as handy information and class updates. A guide on how to use the App, including how to subscribe to the relevant year groups, is available in the ‘Information’ section. We look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions.
Next week will be Anti-Bullying Week across schools Nationally. Anti-Bullying Week shines a spotlight on bullying and encourages all chil-dren, teachers and parents to take action against bullying throughout the year. For more information please visit: http://www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/
Year 5 Turquoise had a brilliant trip on Wednesday 2nd November being detectives at the British Museum. They completed an Anglo Saxon and Viking quiz and saw a hoard of Viking silver and artefacts from Sutton Hoo (amongst other things).
Bridget, Herc's mum came in to run a workshop with Year 4E. She told us all about her job working at The Times and she set us a challenge to write an article about a natural disaster in Hackney.
Parents Questionnaire Please let us know how we are doing. Leave your name and number to be put in the raffle for vouchers. Your children all get 5 merits each!

Or come and fill one in to get your child merits
Peer Mediation is now in its 4th year
at Queensbridge and the new media-
tors have completed their two day
training. They will now be on duty dur-
ing playtime to help younger children
to sort out any problems they might
have. Well done! Amazing Y4 homework—Cross Curricular ‘Shocks and Trembles alongside Romans—Wow!
Fabulous Dressing Up in Reception!
We are loving our new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area). Classes throughout the school have been making the
most of the new space for their PE lessons.
A group of Y5 and 6 chil-
dren took part in the De-
bate Mate Launch today in
Westminster. The event
was really fun and full of
energy, leaving us all very
excited about getting de-
bating! Following a demon-
stration debate, the motion
was opened up to the floor
for questions. Our Queens-
bridge debaters represent-
ed the school beautifully by
asking the most articulate
question, one child even
one herself a Nandos
voucher!
Well done, you know who
you are (especially Josie)!
Bin It! Road show performance for Y6!
We saw a rainbow at break time today!
Black History Month Continues...
Y4E went to Hackney Mu-seum for an immersive
black history workshop.
Coats, hats and scarves
on please at playtime!

During half term 5 of our teachers flew out to Madrid to further strength-en our relationship with our partner school and set up a project for the year. As well as spending 2 days exploring the Spanish school, they
had a 2 day intensive language course and got to experience Span-
ish culture and traditions such as Flamenco dancing! They had a fan-tastic time and are looking forward to
sharing their learning and starting their project back in school. We are just about to go for bronze award!

We are delighted to welcome our new vol-unteer Olga Kokh to Code Club!

how to program using Processing3 and Python.
This week we were delighted to welcome Sky News into our school! The crew came to film our digital leaders experiment-ing with ‘wearables’ created by Digital toy company ‘Technology will save us’. Footage of the morning’s filming can be found by on Sky New’s facebook page (Tuesday 11.10am).
