Queens for the King
May 2015 Newsletter
Autumn is in the Air! Its cool in the mornings here now but activity at Tabitha is heating up. We are active in the Sweetwaters community where two patients received Christ this month. We are getting two churches to come together and sponsor a Secret church bible study night with 5 of our Sweetwaters teens attending. The Tabitha kids are learning to swim, ride bikes, and loved playing in their soccer tournament. Our 5-7 graders got to go to a game reserve and we are still studying the Bible and working on math homework until we all go cross-eyed! Come see what God is doing.

Teaching Godly Teamwork
Thomas took our 2nd-7th
graders to a soccer
tournament against the other
Christian schools our size
here. He and Phebe (our UK
intern) coached our boys' 1st
and 2nd teams. Our kids really
had a great time playing. The
best part was at the end when
we came together to pass out
awards, Thomas could lead the
teams in prayer and show our
boys what true sportsmanship
looks like.
"I was blind, but now I see..." House visits have been so powerful in
May. We had 2 patients (Thembinkosi
& Tholakle) pray to receive Christ. We
planted God's Word in 6 new homes.
We also gave 2 ladies reading glasses
so they can see the Scriptures now.
Two of the ladies visited were so
overwhelmed at the gift of a new Bible
that they burst into tears. Sebe said
"Truly God sent you here to me today
to show me He loves me & hasn't
forgotten me." Keep praying for us
every Thursday as we plant seeds of
hope in Sweetwaters.

Sweetwaters Bible Study
The young adults in
Sweetwaters still meet with us
on Tuesday afternoons to study
God's Word. We just finished
studying Ten Commandments.
Thomas got the Northdale
Church where Indian people
attend to join together with
Hilton Baptist and sponsor a
Secret Church. So far both
churches have about 50 people
attending. We are excited that 5
of our Sweetwaters students are
attending. It will be quite a
Diverse City that night!
Hilton Game Reserve
We loaded up the truck and took the 5th-7th graders to Hilton College to see
their game reserve. Their conservationist gave the kids a great Life Science
lesson. It was the first time these Zulu kids had seen African animals like
giraffe, wildebeast, zebra, etc. They especially loved learning to track animals
by their manure piles hahaha!

Our Newest Intern Sarah Blevins is interning with
us from May to July. She made
the time transition look easy.
Sarah is mentoring a group of 3
boys in devotions. She also
does reading groups with our
most struggling readers. She
helps with lots of administrative
work which eases the load on
Thomas and I. Pray for Sarah as
she serves the Lord here that
she will grow spiritually and
pour Jesus into the kids to help
mend broken hearts.
Splish Splash
Every Friday afternoon (that it
doesn't rain), we load up the
2nd-5th graders to go to swim
lessons. Coach Sibs got each
child a new swim cap and water
bottle. The kids feel like real
pros in the water now. They
actually move forward in the
water when they kick now!
Baking Class is still
delicious!

BIKE TIME- WHOO HOOO! Thomas and our interns
supervised bike time for the
children last Saturday. The
kids got several awesome
bikes from a generous
donor so we took a test
drive. The kids loved riding
around the parking lot. Best
of all: No one crashed into
our car which was a huge
plus! HA HA
Elizabeth Update
Elizabeth passed all 5 parts of her GED! She is now waiting for her diploma to
come in the mail (insert prayer here!) so she can officially enroll in classes at Lee
University in the fall. June 5th will be her last day of high school here then she
will intern at Tabitha alongside Sarah until she returns to America. Pray for her
transition back to the States.
