Eucharistic Adoration
Adoración Eucarística
8am Tuesday to 8pm Thursday
Martes 8am hasta las 8pm los jueves.
Office hours:Monday - Friday: 9am - 3pm
Saturday: 9am - 1pm"Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself”
By his miraculous entry through closed doors Christ proved to his
disciples that by nature he was God and also that he was none other
than their former companion. By showing them his side and the
marks of the nails, he convinced them beyond a doubt that he had
raised the temple his body, the very body that had hung upon the
cross (cf Jn 2:19). He had destroyed death’s power over the flesh,
for as God, he was life itself…
We have only to recall Christ's transfiguration on the mountain in
the presence of his holy disciples (Mt 17:1f.), to realize that mortal
eyes could not have endured the glory of his sacred body had he
chosen to reveal it before ascending to the Father… And so, before
allowing the glory that belonged to it by every right to transfigure the
temple of his body, our Lord Jesus Christ in his wisdom appeared to
his disciples in the form that they had known.

Life and Dignity Sunday Set for Today, April 14-15th, 2018
Today is life and Dignity Sunday in the Diocese of
Winona. It is a day that Bishop Quinn has provided
for parishes to discuss our Catholic responsibility of
being engaged citizens who are forces of good in
our communities. You are invited and have the
opportunity to register for the statewide Minnesota
Catholic Conference (MCC) Catholic Advocacy
Network, which is a faithful, compassionate, moral
voice for life, dignity, and justice in our state. If you
registered, thank you! We encourage you to take
advantage of the many advocacy resources and
Catholic Social Teaching tools that the network
provides, and we hope that you will be diligent in
responding to the occasional e-mails that the
network will send asking you to help us “take action”
on an important social or public policy issue. If you
missed signing up today, you can still register online
at MCC’s website: www.mncatholic.org. MCC is the
public policy voice for the six Minnesota Catholic
dioceses.
The network is completely free and it is part of the
social ministry of the Catholic Church in Minnesota.
The bishops of Minnesota established the
Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC) Catholic
Advocacy Network to develop a strong,
compassionate, moral voice for life, dignity, and
justice in our state. Church. Consider being a part of
this important effort to build a diocesan and
statewide community of Catholics who stand
together as a positive force for good in Minnesota.
Study Group Continues…
Using the video presentations of Bishop Robert Barron, we
can learn more about our faith and reflect on interesting topics
related to the Easter season. The study/reflection will last
around one hour and will take place in the TV room (Church’s
basement).
Wednesday at 5:30pm (April 18)Saturday at 9am (May 12 and 19)
There will be more study session dates
coming. The ones published in this
bulletin are not the only ones. It is our
hope to continue these study sessions
throughout the year.
Robert Emmet Barron (born November
19, 1959) is an American prelate of the
Catholic Church, author, theologian and evangelist, known for
his Word on Fire ministry.
The Quarterly Austin Area Council of Catholic Meeting
will be held on April 24th at St Columbanus Church in
Blooming Prairie, beginning with Mass at 9:30 am
followed by meeting and lunch.
All women are invited and encouraged to attend.
Thanks, Cindy Heimer, President.
St. Rummage Sale
St. Augustine’s CCW is having their annual rummage sale on April 16 (set-up), 17(8:00-5:30), and the 18 (8:00 to 12:00 noon-bag day).
Anyone wishing to donate items may deliver them to St. A’s prior to the sale or on the 16th. On the 17th, we will be selling coffee, coffee and cake and juices for $1.75 and for lunch we will be selling sloppy joes, potato salad, chips and beverage for $3:00.
He wished them to believe that he had risen from the dead in
the very body that he had received from the blessed Virgin,
and in which he had suffered crucifixion and death, as the
Scriptures had foretold…
When Christ greeted his holy disciples with the words: “Peace
be with you,” by peace he meant himself, for Christ's
presence always brings tranquility of soul. This is the grace
Saint Paul desired for believers when he wrote: The ''peace of
Christ, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts
and minds.” (Phil 4:7) The peace of Christ which passes all
understanding, that Saint Paul wrote about, is in fact the Spirit
of Christ, who fills all those who share in him with every
blessing.

The World Day of Prayer for Vocations
It will be observed on Sunday, April 22, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the
harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2).
Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life, or secular institutes. You can find many resources to promote a culture of vocations on the USCCB Vocations webpage (www.usccb.org/vocations).
