Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee emblem has been designed by the New Zealand Herald of Arms, hand painted by the College of Arms, and subsequently been digitised as a vector file for the purposes of reproduction.

These guidelines show you the master emblem suite available – a full colour version, greyscale version, black positive and white negative versions, plus versions of each for use at large and small sizes.

This toolkit has been designed to help you correctly apply the emblem to Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee event collateral. It’s important to apply it consistently to unite all commemorative activity.

Clearspace Leave a space of at least ‘II’ between the logo and any other element, including the edge of the page.

3Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Emblem – Formats

There are two versions – one for use at large sizes and one for use at small. They are available in full colour process, greyscale and single colour,and in both positive and negative formats. Please ensure you use the most appropriate format and colourway for your purpose.

Full colour emblem – small format The full colour positive version is the same as the full colour negative one. This format should only be used on a white or black background, and must never be used larger than 35mm wide.

Full colour emblem – large format The full colour positive version is the same as the full colour negative one. This format should only be used on a white or black background.

Minimum size – large format The width of this large lockup must never be smaller than 35mm.

Greyscale emblem – large format The greyscale positive version is the same as the greyscale negative one. This format should only be used on a white or black background. This version should be used when black and white is the only printing option available to you.

Minimum size – small format The width of this small lockup must never be smaller than 15mm.

Grayscale emblem – small format The greyscale positive version is the same as the greyscale negative one. This format should only be used on a white or black background. This version should be used when black and white is the only printing option available to you.

Black positive emblem – small format This black positive version may be used on any light colour providing it is reproduced smaller than 35mm wide, but larger than the 15mm wide.

White negative emblem – small format This reversed white version may be used on any dark colour providing it is reproduced smaller than 35mm wide, but larger than the 15mm wide.

White negative emblem – large format This reversed white version may be used on any dark colour providing it is reproduced larger than the minimum width of 35mm.

Black positive emblem – large format This black positive version may be used on any light colour providing it is reproduced larger than the minimum width of 35mm.

To make sure our emblem formats always look their best, please don’t:

Change the colours

Rotate the emblem

Stretch or squash the emblem

Make any shape to contain the emblem

Rearrange the elements of the emblem

Change the font

Use background colours other than black or white, or place imagery behind emblem

Remove any parts of the emblem

Add any elements to the emblem, eg. the year

Use the emblem formats smaller than specified in these guidelines
