Introduction The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEIIMC) is a leader in clinical health, research and education. With over 19,000 vehicle movements each day and over 36 organisations, QEIIMC remains to be the busiest medical centre in the state and is also a significant generator of traffic. From early 2010, the QEIIMC site started going through a major redevelopment to develop a world class centre of medical clinical care, education and research. This means the next time you visit the QEIIMC site, some of the parking areas will almost certainly be different to what you may be familiar with. While construction is underway visitors and patients may experience some delays upon entering the QEIIMC site. We recommend drivers to allow additional travel time to meet their appointments. The QEIIMC Trust will try to minimise the disruptions for visitors and out-patients as much as possible and will provide the latest information on how to travel and where to park on the QEIIMC site. This booklet is a guide to help your visit to QEIIMC be as accommodating as possible and we thank you for your patience while these works are underway.

Where can I park if the main car park along Hospital Avenue is full? There will be times when the main visitor car park along Hospital Avenue will be full. So please be patient. Times like these, there will be a parking officer directing the traffic along Hospital Avenue and assisting visitors in finding parking throughout the site to ensure you get to your appointments on time. There is an overflow car park along Verdun Street (short term parking - maximum 3 hours) which has over 100 parking bays for visitors. Please note that parking along the streets of Subiaco and Nedlands is not advisable as you will be infringed by the City of Subiaco and the City of Nedlands. What do I do if I am running late for an appointment because I am unable to find parking? If you are running late for your appointment because you aren’t able to find parking, please don’t miss your appointment and drive home. Please phone the Parking Branch on 9346 2488 or 9346 1787 who will assist you in finding a bay close to your appointment. If you do see a parking officer, hail them down for assistance. Is there a service I can use to get me from the car park to my appointment or to a patient? Charlies Chariot is a courtesy buggy for transporting those in need around the QEIIMC site. It collects passengers from all car parks regularly from 9am to 4pm weekdays. For further information or to be picked up please phone 9346 4645 or 0429 996 822 or dial 4645 from any internal hospital phone.
