• The establishing shot is used here to set the scene and a zooming shot is also used to close in on the action. The camera cuts back and forth from the establishing shot to the car chase. The shots of the different parts of the cars emphasises the luxury of the cars, and so would suggest to the audience that the car chase involves criminals who are very wealthy. This is further emphasised by the fact that they are wearing suits. This conforms to the conventions of action films.

• The danger is then made more apparent as the camera then cuts between the man with a gun and James Bond. This conveys to the audience that James Bond is on a mission, and this is emphasised by the establishing shot which shows they are not in America, as well as the police officer who is speaking another language, shown by the subtitles. The cracked glass on the car also emphasises the danger James Bond is in.
