Billion people access through their mobile devices, as a primary or

a supplementary device.

mobile users has been

growing like never

before.

These mainly include Smartphones and Tablets. Smartphones are

expected to grow at a CAGR of 20% to reach 2.2Bn by 2015, whereas

the Tablet sales are to grow at CAGR of 33% according to a popular

report.

The Key Trends In The Mobile Space That Are Dominating The

Indian Mobility Scene.

According to IMAI, Total Online Ad Spend (FY 2011-2012) INR

1,750 Cr Total Online Ad Spend (FY 2012-2013) INR 2,260 crore

in 2013.

Majority of the ad spends went to search, followed by display

and social media Indian online advertising market is projected to

reach 3000 crore by march 2015.

The total number of mobile phone users in India is estimated to be

market, fixed Internet or Wifi is the most popular among mobile

internet users.

In India, 3G connections have been slow to pick up, with just 35

Mn connections in March 2014, Even though this rate of spread

looks good, but at 35 Mn smartphone users against 900 Mn active

mobile subscribers, it is still slow.

Content

A six second video or a Snapchat photo with a clear message is

capable of doing a lot more good to your brand than one can

imagine.

The micro content is very viable and relevant in today’s mobile

market, especially in the advertising space.

App Trends

77 % of people in India have up to 30 apps on their smartphone;

with men download 93% and women 87%.

43% of women are into social networking as compared to men 38

The most downloaded apps still remain the social networking and

catching up and making a hold in the market.

mentioning granted the amount of app market they are able to

capture in a very little time frame.

Apps like gaana and ola cabs make the majority of their user

base.

It also contributes to the proliferation of 3G users in India.
