Partnership for a Healthy Community:Peoria and Tazewell Counties of Illinois Community Transformation Project is a collaborative effort of 20 organizations that aim to improve the health of more than 300,000 Central Illinois residents by providing them information, tools, resources and a supportive environment to make healthy lifestyle changes.
The HOPE Network is a result of the Child Wellness Learning Collaborative Initiative. Project Goal:Increase the rate of adult physical •activity.Increase the percent of children who •are physically active for at least 60 minutes/day.

Fast Facts:In 2010, more than one third of •children and adolescents were overweight or obese.*
Healthy eating reduces the risk of •developing chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.*

* Advocate for voluntary policy change to increase the amount of time children spend:
* Increase access to fresh, healthy foods:
* Make it easier for Women-Infant-Children (WIC) clients to shop at farmers markets.
