Although there are a lot of lawyers on the labor market, a huge lack of professionals in
International Trade Law is vivid.
Ukraine intensively increases its role within the WTO, and in 2014 eventually has signed the
Association Agreement establishing the Free Trade Area with the European Union, and is a
member of a number of other regional trade agreements.

In April 2013 “Best LawyersInternational” rating office recognizedSergii Koziakov as the lawyer of theyear in International Trade Law.
In November 2014 Sergii Koziakovwas appointed as the Head of theHigh Qualification Commission ofJudges in Ukraine.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
TO PREPARE HIGH QUALIFIED AND SUCCESFULL SPECIALISTS in International
Trade Law, which will protect properly the clients’ interest in the market of
private legal service from one side, and, effectively maintain consistent
state position in International Trade from the other side. Although there is a
big number of lawyers in Ukraine and in the world, considerably huge
demand for specialists particularly in International Trade is required.
The program is unique educational project on the territory of Eastern
Europe and is elaborated based on the experience of the best European
law schools, specialized in training of professionals in International Trade.

50 Ukrainian and foreign students – future lawyers
and economists, studying in the Universities of Kyiv,
Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk took part in
the students’ competition «The Model of the World
Trade Organization».
The Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine Geoffrey R.Pyatt presented iPads to the winners. 6 students
were awarded for the best legal submissions and
oral speech.

IMPORTANT EVENTS
The master program “International Trade
Regulation” has carried out the negotiations and
achieved an agreement concerning the
establishment of academic and scientific
cooperation with master program “International
Economic Law and Policy” (IELPO LL.M) of the
University of Barcelona (Kingdom of Spain).
With this purpose on 12-14 April the IELPO
program coordinator Altagracia Cuevas
visited KNU and the IIR, where she met with
the Rector of the University, the Director of
the Institute and also with students of the
program.
IMPORTANT EVENTS
The master program “International
Trade Regulation” made its first
graduation.
Graduates of the program are already
employed in the major law firms of
Ukraine, the highest state authorities
of Ukraine, in Chambers of
Commerce of foreign states and in
major international companies.
ADMISSION IN 2015.
Eligible for admission: education and
qualification level of Bachelor in one of the
following specialties :
International law Legal science
International relations
International economics
English language program “International
Trade Regulation” designed for Ukrainian
and foreign students fluent in English.
Duration of the Master's Program –
3 semesters: 2 semesters of intensive
training and 1 semester - for master thesis
