Titusville Area School District
• Security patches and application updates were difficult to install in every individual device, which put the district at risk from malware.
• The district turned to Cross IT Services & Solutions, LLC, a QLogic Advanced Solutions Partner specializing in virtualization technology and the education market, to help develop and implement a plan.
The Challenge
• The Titusville IT team launched a virtual desktop initiative and realized that architecting a district-wide deployment took more resources than they had in-house.
The Solution
• Five rack mounted Dell R815 rack servers
• Five QLogic QLE10522 FabricCache adapters – one in each
server
• Two QLogic SB5802 8Gb Fibre Channel stackable switches
• Two JetStor SAS 724iFD 24-bay RAID Arrays, each with four
200GB solid-state drives & twenty 600 GB hard drives, for
25.6TB of storage capacity
• VMware® View 5.2
