WHAT IS BENCHMARKING? Benchmarking is a measurement of the quality of

an organization's policies, products, programs, strategies, etc., and their comparison with standard measurements, or similar measurements of its peers.

It helps in identifying best practices in an organization

The objectives of benchmarking are Identifying the areas which require improvement Analyzing the ways used by other organizations

increasing performance and comparing them Improve performance using above obtained

information

Create a good network and be professional Focus on the goal and solve problems effectively using

various techniques like Pareto analysis, Cause-effect diagram, etc.
