How to attract a target audience

ARTISTSimilar age to target audience of 15-25. Allows the audience to be familiar with the artist.TONEThe text within the magazine is chatty which allows the teenagers/young adults to feel comfortable and interested with the information.

Choosing correct images

After the first draft of my magazine I decided to change the main image of the artist on the front cover. The long shot image did not suit the cover of the magazine as I felt it did not connect with the audience. It did not allow you to see the facial expressions of the artist clearly not allowing the concept of the magazine to make its way through to the audience. Within my final product I changed the main image to a medium shot of the artist. The image represented the artist folding his arms and with a neutral facial expression. This was able to indicate the theme of indie rock and allow the artists emotions to make him look powerful and masculine.5
