SURVEY MONKEY• We used the internet (survey monkey) to produce the surveys and

distribute them out to as many people as we could (a wide variety). We decided to use survey monkey as it was inexpensive, easy to use and easy to distribute out to people.

WORD PRESS• We also used wordpress, which is a blog creater online to create our blogs

for the year. We decided to use this software as it was very accessible and we could easily make it look professional and be creative with it. This was key to record and show our research and planning. As we used it last year in AS, I was very familiar with the software and different tools to create the most successful and easy to navigate, blog.

PREZI AND SLIDESHARE• Instead of having tones of writing on a page, I create Prezi’s (intertextual

reference) and Slideshares (narrative theory) to portray and show my work. I found this a more creative and innotive way of showing and presenting my work.

SERIF MOVIEPLUS X6 DIGITAL EDITION

• When in the editing stage, we used Serif movieplus X6 Digitial Edition, this was a great piece of software to use as it created professional looking trailers. It also enabled us to layer different images ontop of each other (Newspresenter with the Sky News and Breaking News logo).

GREEN SCREEN• We also experimented with a green screen to make the Sky News report

look like a genuine breaking news story.We filmed our actor infront of a green screen and used Serif movie to layer on all the texts and images.

PHOTO SHOP• I used Adobe Photoshop to create my poster and magazine cover. This

software was quite hard to use at first as there were countless amounts of features and effects I could use; it all was quite daunting. Although, after much practice and playing around with all the features I was able to create a poster and magazine cover I felt looked professional. There were many stages to creating my poster especially, having to move certain pieces around even slightly to make it look better and it did get quite tedious but I was very happy with the outcome. When it came to making my magazine poster (after the poster) I was very quick with all the tools and ideas and managed to create this product in a lot less time. However, I wish I took more time when taking the pictures of Katya so it could look as realistic as possible.

IMESSAGE AND WHATS APP• When communicating with my group, and my actors we used iMessage

for the iPhone and Whatsapp messenger. • This was such a good way of communicating as everyone had these apps

and could easily arrange
