What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Audience FeedbackThe main audience I was targeting when creating the music video and CD cover, were teenagers to around mid twenties. This meant that in order for them to relate to the products I had created, I would have need to include aspect that the audience could relate to. I had tried to include as many conventions possible. once creating the media products, we then published the video around social networking websites such as twitter, Facebook and YouTube. This allowed us to gain views from people and to hear their opinions.In order for me to find out what I had done well with the media products and where I could have improved or done differently, I had to create a survey which I would give out to people within my audience range. To do this, I created a survey using the internet on a website called survey monkey. I handed this out to gain comments and opinions which I then used as constructive criticism.

Comments And ImprovementsAs well as doing a survey of getting a few statistics of opinions, people who viewed the video also gave their opinions and comments on what they most enjoyed about the video and what could be improved if it was to be done again.

ConclusionI feel that by gaining feedback from my audience allowed me to understand what the positives for my video was and what I needed to do to improve it. Also I think by using social networking websites and the internet helped get the video out to the public and helped us gain feedback. By doing an initial research into the genre for the target audience we were enable to target them well, by finding out what is mainly formal within a rap video and what the market would want and find in a typical rap video. From the feedback gathered we can probably say that the video we created fitted well with the genre and it targeted the audience well, as the comments received were mainly positive and that the video related well to the audience and they could relate with the artist due to the visuals that we created.
