distribute your media product and why?

Media Institutions A media institution is an established, often-profit based organization, that deal in the creation and distribution of advertising, entertainment and information services.

The media institutions that I chose from are Bauer, IPC Media. Bellow are some of the brands that these institutions distribute. I looked through these to help with my decision and identified that IPC media distributes NME and Bauer distributes Q. Q is a more similar to my magazine though.

Benefits of my magazine being distributed by Bauer.

Bauer is already very big and well known because it is Europe's largest publishing group and distribute over 600 magazines around the world and after doing this research I discovered that they reach over 22 million customers every. This means there is a massive customer base already established which will benefit my product as I am more likely to have a lot of customers. Also they will have a reputation and people know that my product will be good quality for Bauer to distribute it and therefore I may get more people wanting to buy my magazine.

DistributionI have decided that I would want my magazine sold in both stores and online as an electrical version. My magazine would be sold in supermarkets such as Tesco's, Asda and Sainsbury's as these are very popular and have lots of customers. Even though my focus group showed that it is more likely people will buy it in store, I wanted to include an electrical copy that you can buy for those people that buy a lot of things digital on tablets and phones as I know people the age I am targeting like things to be digital.
