3rd SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH 11am-4pm: “Sundays with Margaret” with Margaret Linderman. Bring your garments, quilts or other fabric endeavors for a relaxing day of sewing. All skill levels welcome. ($20)

7/1, 7/8, 7/22, 7/29, 8/12, 8/19 (TUESDAYS) 5:30pm-9:30pm: It’s Tula Time with Cyndy Rymer! Join Cyndy and others as they create 100 quilt blocks from the book, Tula Pink’s City Sampler, 100 Modern Quilt Blocks. Every level welcome! ($20)

OPEN STUDIO: Call the store (925) 837-8458 for available Open Studio times. Open Studio is $5 per 4 hour block, $10 for more than 4 hours ($5 minimum).

We are pleased to have Denise Sheehan continue her introduc-tory class for successful hand appliqué. Denise will guide you through the steps of the starch method of appliqué. With this method, you will achieve sharp smooth edges on your appliqué pieces. A class project will be provided, but you are welcome to work on a different pattern if you prefer. ■

Learn how to make Lorrie Cranor’s Interleave 18” x 18” mini quilt. These complex- looking quilts are easy to make using a quilt-as-you-go technique in which strips of fabric are sewn in straight lines to batting and backing. We are very happy to have Monica Tong join our teach-ing team to share this wonderful projet with you. ■

Great News! Our very own Margaret Linderman has sched-uled a garment workshop! Stu-dents will explore an art-to-wear garment based on the kimono shape. You will explore piecing fabrics together and lengthening or shortening the basic shape to create a personal, comfortable, dramatic garment. You’ll have the opportunity to use paper piecing, collage or simple piecing to create your own look. Make a date with Margaret before class to review pattern fit.

This twist on the classic chevron quilt pattern will make your heart race. Switched up with the addition of vertical zigzags this quilt has an exciting pulse to it. Pat will teach you a clever and easy method for the flying geese triangles that you’ll use over and over!. ■

CLASS POLICIES

LevelsBeginner: Beginner with little experience sewing.Beginner Plus: Confident beginner who can use a sewing machine & has some experience with rotary cutting.Intermediate: Intermediate quilter who is experienced with rotary cutting, sewing & some quilting techniques.Advanced: Advanced quilter who is ready to take on more complex challenges. Levels are listed based upon the difficulty of the project and skills required to make it in the time allotted for the class. We want you to have a good experience in our classes. You are welcome to take any class that we offer, and students may take classes above their level. In this case we want you to know that the teacher may not be able to give you the individual help you would like.

Sign-upsSign-up for classes may be done in the shop or by phone.Students will be given a supply list after payment is received (some class kits may be given to you at the start of class by the instructor.)Receipts will be given upon full payment. Your receipt will indicate dates & times of your class, minimum and maximum enrollment information and cancellation policies.Payment must be made at time of registration and may be cash, check, store credit, or charge.Books or patterns listed on the supply list will be available at the store. We must follow copyright laws. While friends may share a book or pattern, copies may not be used in class, unless by written permission from the designer or publisher.

CLASS POLICIES

Cancellation PoliciesA minimum number of students will be required to hold each class. To aid the scheduling process, students are encouraged to sign up early. In the event that a class does not have the minimum number of students, we will notify the students five (5) days prior to the class. If we cancel a class because of low enrollment, students will be issued a full refund in the method of payment used or a store credit for future classes or purchases. You may cancel your place in a class up to seven (7) days before the first class session. At that time, you will be issued a full refund in the method that you paid for the class or you can have a store credit in that amount. If you cancel your place in a class in less than seven (7) days before the class you will receive a store credit only if we can fill your place from the waiting list.

You may give your place in a class to a friend. Please notify us in this case. In the event of a teacher illness or schedule conflict, we will try to reschedule the class. You may receive a full refund or credit if you are unable to make the new class dates.
