Converse of Pythagorean Theorem:

If a triangle has sides of lengths a, b and c, and 222 cba , then the triangle is a right triangle with

hypotenuse of length c.

You can use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine whether a triangle is a right triangle.

Since the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse are always true, you can also determine whether a triangle is

not a right triangle.
