The ECOTRONIC facility control system.
The ECOTRONIC facility control system is a decentrali-
sed microprocessor system (CAN bus) with various
modules that connect to a data transmission line in a
simple fashion.
Control module.
The operating interface is organised in a simple and
logical manner. The control module can be mounted
either on the burner or on a wall.
Burner group controller.
Keeping the return tempe-
rature up makes for a long
service life of the burner.
Conduction of heat to the
accumulator, disconnec-
tion of the exhaust fan
and closing of the air
vents all go to guarantee
the best possible protec-
tion against overheating.

Heat accumulator
• Perfect heating with logs requires an accumulator of sufficientsize (mandatory since 2000 according to EN 303-5). Precisestratification of the heat is necessary in order to make optimumuse of it.
• The ECOTRONIC with its supplementary storage control valveprovides an excellent guarantee of this function.
• As a result, solar energy can be used in ideal fashion in combi-nation with log heating.
Heat management system (ECO function)
• During the burning phase, the boiler heat not required for hea-ting purposes is carried to the accumulator with precise tempe-rature stratification.
• After the burn-out, the residual heat in the boiler is completelyexploited. KÖB's exploitation of residual heat was honouredduring the course of the Swiss campaign programme ENERGIE2000. An additional yield of 9% per burn-out was observed intesting.
• Only after this is the heat supply carried out from the heat accu-mulator. The ingenious control modules for convenient heatingdischarge the accumulator with precise temperature stratifica-tion.
• This produces a supply of heat from the accumulator for the lon-gest possible period of time.
• The automatic ignition system makes it possible to start theburner system with exact timing at the end of the phase.
