Basic A comprehensive package of training as an introduction to help learners understand the basic concepts of accounting standards.

• Accounting 101 (a refresher course) Gives a comprehensive introduction to accounting basics. Accounting theory and financial statements are discussed in detail and real-life application is reviewed through practice and exercises.

• Revenue Provides foundation knowledge to understand the definitions, recognition, measurement and disclosure principles of revenue recognition.

• Accounting for fixed assets, investment property and leasing

Helps participants obtain fundamental concepts on the recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure principles for fixed assets and investment properties. This course also entails detailed discussions and practical issues on lease accounting.

• Accounting for inventories, income tax, and provisions

Covers basic principles in accounting for inventories as applicable in various industries. This course also includes discussion on accounting for current and deferred income taxes, and recognition and measurement of provisions.

• Accounting for intangibles and impairments

Covers two related modules: intangible assets and non-financial asset impairments. Participants will learn the recognition principles of each type of intangibles and will gain a better grasp of impairment assessments.

• Accounting for employee benefits and share-based payments

Involves comprehensive discussion of different kinds of employee benefits and how to account for them as well as the appropriate accounting treatment of share-based payments and how it affects the financial results.

• Consolidation, investments and assets held-for-sale

• Accounting for financial instruments Gives participants a better understanding of the foundation knowledge involved in recognising, measuring, presenting and disclosing accounting standards for financial instruments relevant to the client’s business.
