Cooperative Program Planning and Teaching (CPPT)

Prince of Wales Secondary School Library

Cooperative Program Planning and Teaching (CPPT) (Yes, we really mean it!)

In high school, it is essential for students to master the processes of accessing and using information so that they can apply these skills after they graduate.

We can work together to develop projects/units to ensure that students use resources in more effective ways.

CPPT allows for a discussion on goals, objectives, information skills, content, unit introduction and conclusion, student groupings, teaching strategies and learning activities.

WHY WORK ALONE?

Come and talk to us before you begin planning your unit/assignment/project. We’d like to ensure we have the resources you need (we

may even need to order resources!). We will need to organize resources prior to your visit. We will need to book the library for your visit.

We can teach and supervise the students We can teach and supervise the students together! Let’s share the workload!together! Let’s share the workload!

Prince of Wales Secondary School Library

You really don’t have to work alone!

We can learn from each other – creative learning activities and teaching strategies, evaluation and assessment practices.

Students can receive more individual attention with two or more professionals working with the group.
