    Branding Guidelines

    Mobil Horizontal Banner

    Logotype/tagline lock-upThe lock-up consists of the Mobil logotype and

    tagline. The tagline may be accessed from the

    Branding Elements section. Do not alter artwork

    provided other than scaling to your application.

    Icon

    Use red Pegasus design surrounded by black outline.

    Color

    When possible, print four-color process. (See

    Production section of this site.) The top rectangle is

    ExxonMobil blue, lower rectangle is black. Typereverses from colored rectangles. Cropped o prints

    ExxonMobil red. Print lock-up in full color.

    Layout

    Layout is based on a three-column grid. Image and

    text areas are flexible along grid increments. Cropped

    red o placement may be adjusted.

    Typeset any product names in text; do not use product

    logos. Single- or multiple-product photography is

    required and is in recommended size and placement.

    White borders may be larger, but not smaller thanproportion shown. Cropped o may not bleed into

    white border. Web address appears flush left in

    ExxonMobil blue block. The height of the Pegasus

    icon, head to hoof, is equal to an M height. Center

    align icon to lock-up. Make sure there is adequate

    clear space of one-half the diameter of the black

    outline around the icon. Be sure to allow adequate

    clear space of an M height around the lock-up.

    Passenger Vehicle Lubricants

    Photography

    Use four-color imagery from advertising, when

    possible. Mobil imagery should emphasize

    performance through subjects depicting a drivers

    relationship with their vehicle. When showing

    vehicles, crop into a portion of the image to avoid

    focusing on automobile type.

    Single- or multiple-product photography should

    be four color, silhouetted and in focus.

    Legal

    Customize web address to local product brand website.

    If one does not exist, omit web address. Inclusion of

    trademark and copyright information is recommended but

    not required.

    Typography

    Headline Helvetica Bold UC/lc

    Web Address Helvetica Black Lower case

    Type specifications must be maintained. Sizes vary

    depending on amount of content.

    Mobil 1 Horizontal Banner

    Lock-upUse the Mobil 1 lock-up in full color. Do not alter

    artwork provided other than scaling to your

    application.

    Color

    When possible, print four-color process, plus

    Pantone 877 silver in the top rectangle and in

    black-and-white image highlights. (See Production

    section of this site.) Bottom rectangle is

    ExxonMobil blue.Type reverses from colored

    rectangles. Headline reverses from silver rectangle.

    As an option, headline may print black over silverrectangle. Cropped o prints ExxonMobil red. Lock-

    up prints full color.

    Layout

    Layout is based on a three-column grid. Size and

    placement of image and text are flexible along grid

    increments. Cropped red o placement may be

    adjusted.

    Single-product photography is required and is in

    the recommended size and placement.

    White border at bottom may be larger, but notsmaller than proportion shown.The lock-up is

    placed in the lower right. Be sure to allow adequate

    clear space of an M height around the lock-up.

    Passenger Vehicle Lubricants

    Photography

    Use black-and-white photography except for

    racing imagery, which may be four color. With black

    and white, when possible, create silver highlights

    with Pantone 877 by reproducing in duotone or

    quadtone. Mobil 1 imagery should emphasize

    superior performance through subjects depicting

    speed, racing, engine components, etc. When

    showing vehicles, crop into a portion of the image

    to avoid focusing on automobile type.Product photography should be four color, silhouetted

    and in focus. Ensure that there is enough contrast

    between the bottle and background photography.

    Legal

    Customize web address to local sub-brand website. If one

    does not exist, omit web address.Inclusion of trademark and

    copyright information is recommended but not required.

    Typography
