DESCRIPTION

Pendant - mounted pushbutton stations are ruggedly

constructed of impact resistant Lexan to withstandthe use and abuse of heavy duty, industrial crane,

hoist and similar applications.

In-Line Design pendant stations are available with2, 4, 6 or 8 buttons while the T-Design stations offerup to 10 button capacity. In-line stations may be

ganged, that is, secured together side-by-side to

provide additional button capacity of 12 and 16 units.Each pushbutton element, single-speed, two-speedor multi-speed, is an individual self-contained unit in

an insulated housing with only the terminalsexposed for wiring. Stepless induction pushbuttonunits combine two buttons in a single housing. This

design makes button element replacement a simple,easy operation. It also offers the original equipment

manufacturer the ultimate in flexibility, as customizedoperators pushbutton stations can be made up with-

out excessive cost. They may be replaced singly orin pairs for maintenance (stepless mounts in thesame space but has a different mounting arrange-

ment). Only P&H design offers this kind of flexibility.

The small, lightweight, molded Lexan body of thependant station is shaped to fit comfortably in the

operators hand, even when he must wear gloves,and buttons are positioned for easy, one hand selec-tion and operation. The molded Lexan top and bot-

tom covers seal with a gasket to the pendant body,

and neo-prene caps seal the openings for the push-button plungers to completely block the entry of dirt,water, oil or dust. These caps are very pliable so as

not to interfere with the operation of the pushbuttonsthemselves. The standard sealed button enclosure

meets NEMA 3 (dust-tight, rain-tight and sleet (ice)-resistant) requirements for outdoor installations,

NEMA 12 (Dust-tight and drip-tight indoor installa-

tions), and NEMA 4 (water-tight installations).Raised, curved guards, on the shaped Lexan cover,

protect the buttons from bumps or inadvertent oper-ation and carry the button markings recessed into

the guards so they cannot peel off.

Within the center pendant body the button elementsare positioned on pin, held in position by spring clipsand the clamping action of the cover, and cushioned

by flange or hood to prevent element damage fromshock. The multi-conductor cable is attached to the

pendant body with a cord grip and neoprene grom-met that provides an effective seal and securely hold

the cable. The pendant conductor leads down theback of the pendant body which provides for easy,

individual wiring of the pushbutton elements. A chainstrain-relief removes strain from the cable and con-nector.
