A 1975 Accounting and Finance graduate of the State University of New York
at Binghamton (now Binghamton University) and holder of Master of Business
Administration degree of the School of Management Studies (now Schulisch
Business School), York University, Toronto, Canada. A Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Stockbrokers, he was the second person to be elected the President
and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers following
the tenure of Mr Gamaliel Onosode.
From 2002 to 2006, he was an Assessor and part-time member of the pioneer
Board of the Investment and Securities Tribunal. In 2000, he served as Chairman
of the Securities & Exchange Commission Panel on the Re-activation of the
Bond Market in Nigeria, a report that provided the platform for the re-
introduction of Federal Government Bond issues. He was pivotal to the Debt
Management Ofce's issuance of the Ist and 2nd FGN Bonds leading his
Capital Bancorp's team as Advisers and Stockbrokers to the Issue. He had
previously served on the Council of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. In 2004, he
also served as a Consultant to the Senate Committee on Pensions in the
drafting of the Pensions Reform Act 2004. He has served on many industry
advisory panels on issues relating to the Capital Market and Investments.

He was the Managing Director of Capital Bancorp Limited, which he
founded In October 1988 with some institutional and individual investors
until 2007. Prior to starting Capital Bancorp, he was at City Securities
Limited and Continental Merchant Bank PLC (formerly Chase Merchant
Bank) where he was a Deputy General Manager and Head of Corporate
Finance Department.
He was the Vice Chairman and Group Chief Executive of Crusader
(Nigeria) PLC till October 2012. He is currently a non-Executive Director of
FCMB Group PLC, the outgoing Chairman of CrusaderSterling Pensions
Limited and the Chairman Capital Bancorp PLC and NASD PLC, a new
securities trading platform (Over-the-Counter Market) to trade unlisted
securities.

Finance from Imperial College Business School, London, as well as a Master of

Partners Limited, a full edged wealth management rm where he served as a
Board Director.
Whilst at Alternative Capital Partners Limited (ACAP), he was instrumental in the
set up and take off of the company. He also served as a member of the ACAP
CanaryGrowth Fund Investment Committee. A role he played since inception.

United Bank for Africa PLC) as well as BGL PLC and a brief stint at Alitheia
Capital Limited.

Obinna Onunkwo is a seasoned securities specialist with over a decade
experience in investment management. He has a rich background in
investment banking, asset management, equities research and trading and
has over the years played active roles as lead fund manager in corporate
actions including mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments, equity
raisings and valuations through the various capacities in which he has served.
He began his career with Guardian Express Bank PLC and was part of the
pioneer team of Guardian Express Trust Limited. He thereafter proceeded to
Spring Capital Markets Limited where he was the pioneer Head of the Asset
Management Unit which oversaw the management of assets in excess of
N18.5 billion.
He also served as the Head of Asset Management Unit in Kedari Capital
Limited in which capacity he also performed excellently. While in Spring
Capital Markets Limited, he worked on a number of transactions part of which
was the development and execution of the framework for the consummation
of several Repo transactions with a cumulative value of over N16.5billion and
the management of equity investments in excess of N17 billion on behalf of
institutional clients.

the reconstruction of 42.5bn units of Spring Bank Plc shares which was at
that time the rst share reconstruction of a quoted company in Nigeria.
Obinna was the pioneering Managing Director, Fund/Portfolio
Management at Alternative Capital Partners Limited. As a pioneer director,
he drove the operational success and positioning of the wealth
management business, facilitating the rst ever acquisition and merger of
two mutual funds from a bank by a local fund manager as well as the
achievement of N9bn in overall assets under management within 2 years
of operations. He was also an instrumental convener and member of the
ACAP CanaryGrowth Fund Investment Committee from inception and at
that time led the team that delivered above market returns in excess of
35%.
Obinna seats on the Board of Law Union & Rock Insurance Plc and serves
on various committees accordingly. He holds an MBA from Lagos Business
School and a bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Port
Harcourt; where he also received several prizes as the Best Graduating
Student of his set.
He has attended various foreign and local courses in Investment

degree in Law obtained from the University of Sussex UK. He further studied at

practices law at Shinka, Kusamotu, Olojo and Co, a broad based law rm
situated in Lagos.
Prior to joining this rm, he underwent a period of pupilage at F.O. Akinrele and
Co. Seni is a founding Director of Asoil Energy, an oil trading concern and also
serves on the board of Oak Capital Investments, a multi faceted investment
vehicle. Mr. Kusamotu is a Director of Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc where
he Chairs the Board Strategy and Transformation Committee and he also
served as a founding director of Alternative Capital Partners Limited, a
Securities and Exchange Commission registered Fund/Portfolio Manager and

Sir (Pharm) Nnamdi Obi is a seasoned entrepreneur with over three decades
of experience In the Pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Limited. One of the leading Pharmaceutical
Companies in Nigeria which he founded in 1986.
