OCTOBER 2010 On Friday October 15th, the UNI Panthers had their first official practice. The Panthers were hard at work in the pre-season and are now finally ready to get on the court to start prepping for games. MEDIA DAY: AHELEGBE PRE-SEASON ALL LEAGUE
UNI will look to defend its MVC crown as they begin league play in late December, but before they do they
will have quite a few early season battles. The Panthers will have two home exhibition games before opening up at Syracuse. The early non-
conference schedule will also include games against other top teams including UW Milwaukee, Iowa St, TCU, and Iowa.
The Panthers will certainly be battle tested by the time they get to MVC action.
UNI will rely on senior point guard Kwadzo Ahelegbe to contribute in a major way this season. At the
Missouri Conference Media Day held on October 25th, Ahelegbe was named to the pre-season all conference team. Look for he and other Panther
upperclassmen Kerwin Dunham, and Lucas O’Rear to bring experience and leadership to the floor for the this year.
