#PunkMoney
#PunkMoney is a promise currency anyone can create, transfer and redeem on Twitter.
Here’s an example:
“@Bob I promise to buy you a beer. #PunkMoney” – @Sally
#PunkMoney
There are also optional rules for specifying an expiry and making a promise non-transferable:
“@Bob I promise to buy you a beer. Expires in 1 week. NT. #PunkMoney”
– @Sally
This syntax makes @Sally’s syntax a valid #PunkMoney statement.
What next?
#PunkMoney
Finally, let’s imagine that Bob doesn’t have time to go for a beer with Sally this week.
Instead, he suggests Sally take their mutual friend Alice out for a beer, instead.
He can do this by transfering the original promise to Alice, by replying to Sally’s original promise:
“@Sally transfer @Alice #PunkMoney” – Bob
Sally is now the bearer of Alice’s promise to buy a beer.
