Mainland Britain is barely 600 miles from north to south, and just 300 miles across at its widest point. Yet packed into this smal l island are history, art , architecture, culture, landscapes and traditions found nowhere else in the wor ld. And with the Puma Hotels C ol lection, you’re right at the heart of it al l.

We’re proud of the fact that many of our 21 hotels are genuinely important historic buildings, with their own place in British history. So you can sit in the library where Shakespeare wrote As You Like It, dine in the room where Oliver Cromwell planned the Battle of Worcester, or stay in the ancestral home of a family who first came to England with William the Conqueror in 1066.

We’re also a thoroughly modern British business. We actively choose British-made products and brands in all our hotels, and serve regional food and drink, made with local ingredients wherever possible, in our bars and restaurants.

PART OF THE FABRIC OF THE NATION

Many Puma Hotels are well-established and desirable dining destinations in their own right. More than half our hotel restaurants have been awarded AA Rosettes, with four achieving coveted two-Rosette status for their superb cuisine, attention to detail and commitment to using only the finest ingredients. Our hotel bars offer a selection of fine wines and cocktails, with many also serving authentic local beers and regional specialities.

Luke’s Broadway at The Lygon Arms is our new partnership with Chef Luke Thomas, a rising star in the culinary world.

At Luke’s Broadway, he’s created an exclusive bistro-style menu, based on locally-produced seasonal ingredients. Cosy and intimate, the new restaurant is the perfect choice for a special occasion, or simply enjoying some of the best food in Britain in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds.

SOUTH EAST ENGLAND

LOTS TO SEE... LOTS TO DO...The South East is rich in great houses and stately homes. For many people though, the region’s main attractions are its countryside villages and traditional market towns, which manage to retain their quintessentially English character in a rapidly changing world.

The South East’s two National Parks – the South Downs and the New Forest – both offer fantastic opportunities for walking and outdoor pursuits. The South Coast has some of Britain’s best beaches and watersports, while the region’s cities offer the full range of shopping, culture and other attractions.

• Great medieval cathedrals

• Numerous historic houses and gardens

• Picture-postcard villages and open countryside

• Windsor Castle, one of the UK’s most-visited attractions

• Walking, biking and horse-riding on the South Downs Way

• Beaches, sailing and watersports all along the South Coast

• Britain’s maritime history in Portsmouth and Southampton

• Family fun for all, including Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington

NORTHERN ENGLAND

LOTS TO SEE... LOTS TO DO...The Romans, Vikings, Normans, Georgians and Victorians have all left their mark on the North of England – with all their architectural achievements set against the unchanging backdrop of some of England’s most spectacular countryside.

The North of England is enjoying a post-industrial renaissance, and now boasts some of Britain’s most popular tourist attractions. Hill-walking was more-or-less ‘invented’ in the Peak District, and the region’s spa towns continue a 300-year-old tradition of hospitality.

• The splendour of Durham Cathedral, perched high above the River Wear

• Elegant Georgian and Victorian pump rooms and bath houses in Harrogate

• Great stately homes including Chatsworth, seat of the Dukes of Devonshire since 1549

• Blackpool’s Golden Mile and famous Tower

• Walking in some of England’s most beautiful and challenging terrain, including the 270-mile Pennine Way

• Traditional seaside fun and games

• Take to the waters (or just tour the spa buildings) in Harrogate

• Play a round on one of the North West’s finest golf courses at Shrigley Hall Hotel

THE IMPERIAL HOTEL, BLACKPOOL

During the 19th Century, Blackpool became a national institution, and The Imperial Hotel dates from this golden age. Dominating the North Promenade, it’s a grand, imposing building with fantastic sea views.

• 180 bedrooms, including 41 premium and deluxe rooms and 9 suites, many with sea views

• Palm Court Restaurant

• No.10 Bar, host to many British Prime Ministers

• Health & Leisure Club with gym, indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium and beauty rooms

• 14 meeting and function rooms
