PUJYASRI SWAMI DAYANANDA SARASWATIS VISIT 03rd & 04th Dec 2014.

The formal inauguration of the six month course on Vedanta and Sanskrit at Vedapuri was on 03rd Dec 2014, by Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati. Pujya Sri Swamiji readily accepted to grace the event, and to take the first session / class to the course participants, when Swamiji and the faculties requested him.

Vedapuri in general, and the course participants in particular, were very blessed and overwhelmed with bakthi and devotion, to have Pujyasri Swamiji in their midst for a day.

Pujya Sri Swamiji was received traditionally at the entrance, by the Trustees, course participants and devotees.

On his arrival, he visited Adiguru Sri Prajna Dakshinamurti Vidyapitham to offer his prayers.

Then, he went around the Ashram premises and spent some time at the banks of Surabhi Saraswati river.

Pujya Sri Swamiji addressed the course participants and devotees at Sri Barhmaloka Hall for an hour from 05:30 pm. He quoted from various texts and explained about a true seeker, and the way to go about learning Vedanta from a Guru; mentioned about the kind heartedness of Sri Swami Omkarananda; introduced the faculties Swami Sarvananda, Swami Adhyatmananda and Sri Arasu Ramanujam and the syllabus. He explained how the course participants are fortunate to learn with so many facilities at their disposal. He lauded the criteria that were used to select the participants and mentioned that this is the optimum strength with which a course can be comfortably handled.

After concluding is speech, he blessed the students of Cumbum Chatralaya.

As per Pujya Sri Swamijis desire Ganga Arthi was performed at Surabi Saraswati river. He was present through the Puja. He suggested that Ashram does this regularly, a first of its kind in South India. It has been decided that every Friday this puja/arthi will be performed, and devotees can sponsor and participate in it.

After spending time with devotees and blessing the Trustees, he conducted an hour long Satsang for the course participants, before retiring for the day.

On 04th Dec 2014, Pujya Sri Swamiji took another session to the participants for an hour in the morning. Pujya Sri Swamiji spent few minutes individually with each participant, inquiring the details about them and blessing them. As mentioned by the course participants themselves, they are all very blessed and fortunate to have such a great Mahatma coming to meet them and spending time with them. They expressed their wholehearted thanks to Swami Omkarananda for making this possible.
