Driving to Seattle

he ship is docked at Shilshole Bay Marina, located at 6701 Seaview Ave. N.W., Dock A, Seattle, WA 98117. Upon arrival, you will see American Cruise Lines deckhands in bright red shirts ready to assist you. You may drop your bags of before parking so that they can be brought to your stateroom in advance.

Boarding Time

Please plan to arrive at the ship between 10:30

a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You may not be able to access

your stateroom until about 11:30 a.m. The ship

will leave at 1:30 p.m. or earlier if all guests have

arrived.

From the moment you arrive, everything will be handled for you. American Cruise Lines deckhands wear a distinctive red shirt and will unload your luggage from your car or taxi and bring it to your stateroom aboard the ship. Please keep your boarding passes with you, as it is not necessary for you to stay with your luggage.

he Cruise Director will be awaiting your arrival at the gangway of the ship. Please present your boarding passes and photo ID at this time.

Luggage and Luggage Tags

American Cruise Lines places no restrictions on luggage. However, it is recommended that you bring as few bags as necessary. Suitcases less than 10 inches high may be stowed under your bed. You will be receiving luggage tags with your boarding pass before your cruise. If you would like additional tags, your cruise specialist will be happy to send you more. If you have cruised with us before, please remove your old luggage tags.

Casual resort attire is recommended both on the ship and ashore. For dinner, men’s clothing might include a sport shirt and slacks, with sport coat or sweater. Women might ind a sweater and slacks, or a dress appropriate.

American Cruise Lines also recommends that you bring the following:

American Cruise Lines ofers open seating at every meal in the Dining Salon on the Main Deck. Dress is resort attire. At dinner, men often wear a sport coat and women often wear a dress.

Breakfast is prepared to order at your leisure between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m.

Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m.

Dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m., and you are welcome to join us at any time before 7:30 p.m.

American Cruise Lines provides complimentary wine and beer during lunch and dinner service. A complimentary cocktail hour with full bar is hosted each evening at 5:30 p.m. before dinner.

Glasses, ice, mixers, and soft drinks are available at all times. For other liquor requests, your Hotel Manager will assist you.

Special Diets and Medications

American Cruise Lines will work to cater to any dietary needs. Please tell your cruise specialist approximately two weeks prior to your cruise so that we may plan accordingly.

Refrigeration is available to store insulin or other medications requiring protection.

Emergency Messages

Emergency messages can be directed to the main oice in Connecticut at (800) 894-8570. hey will be relayed to the ship at the irst opportunity. You are urged to provide American Cruise Lines with email addresses and cellular phone numbers, as well as an emergency contact prior to your departure date. Cell phones are generally available onboard the ship for emergency purposes.

Tipping

Tipping is entirely at your personal discretion. Tips are generally given to the Hotel Manager near the end of the cruise. hey are then divided equally among the stewards and deckhands. Tips generally average about $125 per person on a 7-night cruise. Stewards and deckhands do not expect and cannot accept tips directly. Credit cards, personal or travelers checks, and cash are accepted. If you choose to pay by credit card, please contact the Hotel Manager at least one day before the end of your cruise.

Concluding Your CruiseOn most cruises, the ship will arrive in Seattle the evening prior to the inal day of the cruise. he ship docks at Shilshole Bay Marina, located at 6701 Seaview Ave. N.W., Dock A, Seattle, WA 98117. On the last day of your cruise, breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and passengers may disembark until 8:30 a.m.

End of Cruise Transportation ServicesFor passengers lying home, American Cruise Lines ofers transportation from the ship in Seattle to:

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport – departs the ship at 8:30 a.m.

TOWN WALKING TOUR

Situated on the most accessible island in the San Juan archipelago, Anacortes is a thriving seaside town with a past that mirrors the fascinating boom and bust history and entrepreneurial spirit of the area. Your local guide will provide an orientation of the town while you admire the colorful murals depicting the history of the city.

DECEPTION PASS JET BOAT TOUR

Learn about Deception Pass, the bridge and surrounding area on this one of a kind jet boat tour aboard the Island Whaler - an aluminum catamaran. On an open seated deck boat, enjoy 360 degrees of unobstructed views of the Natoinal Historic Landmark of deception Pass Bridge. Enjoy hearing the tales of characters who navigated these waters in addition to sightseeing attractions of the Old Prison Rock Quarry, Deception Island, and a bald eagle’s nest.

LA CONNER, WA AND SEABEAR SALMON TASTING TOUR

Visit nearby La Conner, WA and learn more about this charming town as your guide narrates throughout your journey. While in La Conner have time to explore downtown, shop or visit the local museum. Upon your return to Anacortes, a stop will be made at SeaBear for an exclusive tasting and tour. Since its founding in 1957, SeaBear has been smoking salmon in the centuries-old traditions of the Paciic Northwest. During your visit, sample lots of varieties of smoked salmon including San Juan Sliders and smoked salmon chowder.

FRIDAY HARBOR, WA

WHALE MUSEUM TOUR

Join a docent at the Whale Museum for a guided tour. In the Gallery of Whales you’ll learn about the natural history of marine mammals, with a special focus on the orcas of J, K and L pods living in the waters around the San Juan Islands. You’ll ind a mesmerizing collection of exhibits, artwork, models, and artifacts, including actual whale skeletons and a family tree of the resident Orcas. You can also listen to the “songs” of various species of whales in the Whale Phone Booth.

his full day adventure begins with a ferry ride to Victoria, BC. On this guided tour you’ll learn more about Victoria and visit Butchart Gardens—one of Victoria’s most famous and popular attractions. As you make your way around the gardens, you’ll walk through intimate stone paths and streams lined with colorful arrays of lowers and trees. At the conclusion of the tour, time is provided to walk around town before taking the ferry back to Port Angeles.

A stop will be made at Hurricane Ridge, the most popular attraction of Olympic National Park. Enjoy the spectacular view and experience one of the most famed landcapes in Washington.

LAKE CRESCENT AT OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK

Spend the day at one of the most unique aspects of the nearly one million acres of Olympic National Park’s environmental diversity. he tour allows you to experience the beautiful turquoise waters of the glacier formed lake. PORT TOWNSEND, WA

DOWNTOWN HISTORIC WALKING TOUR

Port Townsend’s National Landmark Historical District is a treasure of Victorian architecture. Historically-costumed guides escort visitors on entertaining tours of the once-rowdy Downtown and reveal the waterfront commercial district’s disreputable past. Guides point out interesting architecture, unique history and the many colorful characters who built Port Townsend and optimistically called her the “New York of the West.”

TOUR OF UPTOWN HISTORIC DISTRICT

Tours of the genteel Uptown residential district feature the ine homes of merchants, customs agents and sea captains, historic churches and major civic buildings such as the magniicent county courthouse and the old customs house all built during Port Townsend’s Victorian boom years. Deer sightings are also common. Known as “the moral high ground,” Uptown ofered residents a reined life style compared to the more boisterous Downtown district.

TOUR OF FORT WORDEN STATE PARK

Step back into history with this approximately 2 hour step-of tour of National Historical Landmark site, Fort Worden State Park. Built in 1902 as part of the “Triangle of Fire” Fort Worden has a rich and on-going history not to be missed. Sites include: Oicer Row, Parade Grounds, Point Wilson Light House, Gun emplacements, Alexander’s Castle, Dinky Locomotive, McCurdy Pavilion.

POULSBO, WA

GUIDED WALKING TOUR

Poulsbo’s long history as a destination for immigrants from Norway and Finland has shaped the town with a Norwegian inluence. Downtown Poulsbo maintains the Scandinavian theme, which began during the late 1800s, in its shops and restaurants, and is a popular regional tourist destination. SUQUAMISH MUSEUM

A new museum facility, completed in 2012, houses the Suquamish Museum and Cultural Center just up the hill from the Old-Man-House village site. Set in a natural landscape of native plants, the 9,000 square foot space designed by Mithun Architects (Seattle) relects the traditional Big House architecture of the Coast Salish. Enjoy a one hour guided tour of the museum and learn about the Suquamish tribe’s history and culture.
