Where is Puerto Rico located?

• Puerto Rico is between the Caribbean sea and the north Atlantic ocean, east of the Dominican republic

• Latitude; 18 16 N• Longitude; 66 30 W

Flag, Motto, Anthem:

• That’s the Puerto Rican flag on the left !

• Their motto is “Juan es su nombre”

• In english it mean’s John is his name.

• There anthem is La Borinqueña ( in english The Borinquen Song )

Sports:

• Baseball was one of the first sports to gain widespread popularity in Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico Baseball League serves as the only active professional league, operating as a winter league

History:

• On July 25, 1898, during the Spanish-American War, Puerto Rico was invaded by the United States with a landing at Guánica. As an outcome of the war, Spain ceded Puerto Rico, along with Cuba, the Philippines, and Guam to the U.S. under the Treaty of Paris
