    AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE INTERPRETATION ORDINANCE, 1929.

    B E IT ENACTED by the High Commissioner for Palestine, with the advice of the Advisory Council thereof:—

    1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Interpretation (Amend- Short title, ment) Ordinance, 1935, and the Interpretation Ordinance, 1929, No. 34 of 1929. (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance) the Inter-pretation (Amendment) Ordinance, 1933, and this Ordinance, No. 4 of 1933. may together be cited as the Interpretation Ordinances, 1929-1935.

    2. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance shall be amended by Amendment of the addition of the following paragraph to part B (Substitution s e ? t , o n 3 of the Of Official Titles) :— . " OrSnce.

    "The title "Director Department of Health" shall be deemed to be replaced by the title "Director of Medical Services". "

    OBJECTS A N D REASONS.

    This Ordinance amends the Interpretation Ordinance, 1929, by adding to the list of substituted official titles contained in part B of section 3 of that Ordinance, the title "Director of Medical Services" in the place of the title "Director, Department of Health".

    LAND SURVEYORS' LICENCES.

    An examination of candidates for Land Surveyors' Licences will be held at the Survey Headquarters Olfiee, Sarona, during the week commencing 4th March, 1935.

    Applications to sit for the examination should be made in writing, and should reach the Director of Surveys, P.O.B. 676, Jaffa, not later than 23rd Feb-ruary, 1935. Those received after that date will not be considered. Applications should be accompanied by the prescribed fee of L P . 1.

    Candidates should state in their applications in which of the three official languages they desire their written papers to be set.

    They must provide their own instruments and labour for the practical examination.

    A syllabus of subjects covered by the examination can be obtained on ap-plication to the Director of Surveys.

    No person shall be eligible for a licence unless he has obtained Palestinian citizenship, or has received permission to remain permanently in Palestine.

    Holders of existing licences are reminded that applications for fresh licences, accompanied by the prescribed fees, should reach the Director of Surveys prior to 31st March, 1935.

    LAND VALUERS' LICENCES.

    An examination of candidates for licences to practise as Land Valuers in Palestine will be held at the Survey Headquarters Office, Sarona, on 11th and 12th March, 1935.

    Notice is hereby given that at the general meeting of City Company Ltd., held in Tel Aviv on 22nd January, 1935, it was decided to wind up the said Company voluntarily, and that DR. M. ISZAJEWICZ, advocate of Tel Aviv, was appointed liquidator.

    It is notified for general information that in future notices intended for publication in the Palestine Gazette should be addressed, together with the appropriate publication fees, direct to the Superintendent of Printing and Stationery, Russian Buildings, Jerusalem.

    Notices of registration of Companies, Co-operative Societies, Trade Marks and Patents will not be accepted for publication unless submitted through the appropriate Registrar.

    Orders with regard to the administration of the estates of deceased persons or probate of wills, and any orders issued under the Companies Ordinance, 1929, or in accordance with any other Ordinance or Order of the Court, and notices of registration and dissolution of partnerships will not be inserted unless passed for publication by the Court.

    Notices of dissolution of partnerships will not be accepted unless signed by the partners named therein or by their legal representatives. The signature or representative character of a signatory must be verified by a declaration made by an advocate.

    A notice of dissolution of partnership not. signed by all the partners or by their legal: representatives must be accompanied by a sworn declaration made by an advocate to the effect that the notice is given in pursuance of the terms of the partnership to which it relates.
