We are proud to have research centers in Agri-food, Energy, Mechatronics, Industry and

Biomedicine fields of knowledge.

Many of our UPNA alumni have carried out their professional careers in these companies

and research centers. If you join our community, you will have access to extensive

training in the above-mentioned firms. We offer curricular and extra-curricular internships

in those companies that could foster your future hiring chances.

In addition, it might be of your interest to know Pamplona was ranked as high as the city

of the highest quality of life of Spain(*).

In Campus Pamplona-Arrosadia there are six faculties and schools, research centers, a

library, the residence hall, a sports center, golf course and a language school. Although

Shared Apartments

You may prefer to live in a shared apartment in the city, near the campus. The

Accommodation Service of the university provides information about apartments and

11

rooms for rent: https://www.unavarra.es/alojamiento/

Although prices may range greatly, depending on the conditions of each flat and the

area, the average price is between 250 and 300 euros per month for a single room in a

shared flat with 3 or 4 people, including utilities expenses (electricity, water and heating).

Not all flats have telephone and / or Internet connection, but where they are available,

these expenses are usually not included in the rental price offered.

It is usually necessary when renting a flat to pay the first full month plus one added month

deposit as a guarantee. The deposit will be returned back to you when leaving if

everything is OK; so you should keep in mind when making your budget that at the

beginning you may need at least about 500 euros just for accommodation expenses.

4.2. COST OF LIVE

The Spanish currency is the euro. The cost of life will vary depending on the lifestyle of the

student. 500 euros is the minimum you may need to live each month, but you will need

B) Students from outside the European Union, from countries with health

agreements with Spain

If you come from outside Europe, check if there is an agreement between your country's

social security system and that of Spain (this is the case in some Latin American countries).

If there is, you can obtain a document from the authorities in your place of origin to have

free coverage in Spain. If you have such coverage, you should also locate your nearest

health center in Pamplona. On the map we give you, the health centers are in purple.

C) Students from outside the European Union, whose countries have not

signed a health agreement with Spain

18

If you are not a European citizen, in most cases you will have to take out private health

insurance while you are at the UPNA. Talk to your insurance company so that they can tell

you which health centers you can go to before you find yourself needing to do so.

Check this website for updated information. Locate the hospital area of Pamplona (in

purple on the map) for a health emergency.
