MESSAGE

The Municipality of Camaligan is a fifth class municipality and the smallest town of

Camarines Sur. It has ten (10) possible entrances and exits going to and fro its surrounding

municipalities and city. Considering its proximity to Naga City, crimes and other bad

influences may happen.

My administration has a battle-cry IMUKLAT Camaligan which means a

Municipality with integrity, Model, Unity, Kindle, Law-enforcement and with

transparency which leads to my prime objective for my people to have a good, peaceful and

safe place to live-in .

With this Integrated Area Community Public Safety Plan of Camaligan, Camarines

Sur, Calendar Year 2011, will serve as our guide in achieving our objective and with the

cooperation of my fellow municipal officials, employees, Non-government organizations,

civil society and citizenry in general, I am confident that my objective will be achieved.

SITUATIONAL

ANALYSIS

Page 8: Public Safety Plan 2011

I. SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS

The Municipality of Camaligan, Camarines Sur, a 5th

class municipality is considered

urban due to its proximity to the City of Naga. It is considered a high peaceful and safe to live-in

based on the existing crime statistics report submitted by our Philippine National Police in the

area which is 100% Crime Solution Efficiency.

This could be attributed to the organized and duly trained Barangay Tanod Volunteers,

Lupon Tagapamayapa, well-trained Barangay Officials and a very industrious and responsive

PNP Personnels.

Based on our PNP report, Camaligan has ten (10) entrances and exits going through and

leaving the town. Our chief executive, Mayor Emmanuel T. Prado issued a memorandum

ordering the Barangay checkpoints to monitor the existing peace and order situation of every

Barangay.

There were some pity crimes reported but all of them were solved already at the

Barangay level that’s why the Municipality of Camaligan, Camarines Sur can now be considered

a peaceful, safe and beautiful place to live-in.
