1. Plots 4/5, 5/5x, 7/3cx, 14/5n, 15/3c, 15/16m, 18/2a, 6/4bq, 6/4br, 6/4bs, 6/4bt, 10/1cz, 10/10 do not need to be stated within the 'Plots not Used' boxes, and are now removed.

3. Minor text description amendment to plots 1/1, 1/18b, and plot 2/1 to include the description "A48(M) exit and entry slip roads". This is to match the CPO precis text within the order, which was correct at time of publication.

4. CPO Sheet 15. Street names in the vicinity to Newport Road have become misaligned on the drawing. (Blenheim Gardens and Queens Gardens) and have been corrected.

5. CPO Sheet 8 Inset A - Plot numbers 8/6v, 8/8k, 8/6w, 8/9h 8/14 missing off inset. Labels have been made visible.

During the draft Orders exhibition the owners of Gwanshonbrown requested the PMA running to the south of their property is realigned to follow the existing Poundhill road (which is to be stopped up).

Newport City Council requested that the Footpath 390/12 is connected to the A48 via the access leading to the properties at Ty'n-y-Brwyn. This modification creates new footway over this length of track.

A number of concerns have been raised by local residents about the access arrangements for the PMA leading to Ty'n y Brwyn. Four objections have been raised during the objection period. Following review in lieu of comments and objections, an alternative access proposal has been developed, which would involve modifying the east access, currently proposed to be stopped-up, to enable future use.

Revision P02 - Through further design development, a roundabout has been designed to replace the t-junction connecting Nash Mead and Nash Road This provides better access to Carlsberg's facilities, and still provides a dedicated access to Alan Jones & Sons. This is shown in version P02.

In order to provide the Bridge Protection Measures at Newport Docks, land already outlined within the CPO would need to be re-designated, (e.g. from Essential Licence to Easement.) To do this, the area of land where these changes occur would be removed from the draft CPO through this modification. The Supplementary (No. 2) draft CPO would then re-instate this land with the correct designations.

The Supplementary (No. 2) draft CPO would then re-instate this land with the correct designations.

A modification required to amend the ownership information for a small plot of land in the ownership of Network Rail.

Through consultation with Liberty Steel the attenuation lagoon has been moved to accommodate Liberty Steel's future aspirations. The pond has been relocated. The land to the north of the pond willl now only be required temporariliy for construction and will be returned to the owner. Addtional land required for Envrionmental Mitigation to replace that removed through modification is provided to the east.

A modification to remove land from the CPO Supplement 3 within the Newport Docks. To be viewed in conjunction with CPO Supplement 4.

A modification to CPO Supplementary (No. 4) to reduce the amount of land required as title for the bridge protection measures.

SCHEDULE 1 – SCHEME ORDER MODIFICATIONS 

Scheme Order Modification 1 

The draft Scheme Order requires amending to remove the Glan Llyn and Docks Way Junction and 

Links from the Order. These will no longer be classed as Special Roads. They will be added into the 

Line Order and classed as Trunk Roads.  

Within Schedule 2, part (2), remove ‘A route about 444 metres in length, and new gyratory 

carriageway about 392 metres in length, from a point on site plan 4 marked C on the Motorway to a 

point on site plan 4 marked D at the existing roundabout of the A4810 Queensway about 400 metres 

west of Llanwern Steelworks.’ 

Within Schedule 2, part (3), remove ‘A route about 916 metres in length, and a new roundabout 

about 190 metres in length from a point on site plan 5 marked E on the A48 Southern Distributor 

Road 442 metres east of the Docks Way roundabout to a point on site plan 5 marked F about 487 

metres east of the River Ebbw at Docks Way, Newport.’ 

Within Schedule 2, part (3), remove ‘A route 187 metres in length, and a new gyratory carriageway 

about 332 metres in length from a point on site plan 5 marked F on the new Motorway to a point on 

site plan 5 marked G on the new gyratory carriageway about 289 metres east of the River Ebbw at 

Docks Way, Newport.’ 

Scheme Order Modification 2 

The draft Amendment (No. 2) Scheme Order requires modifying to increase the size of the 

Junction Cut from 11 metres to 13.5 metres.  

Within Schedule 3, Article 3, remove Page 1 of 2 of the Schedule 3 (Amendment No. 2) drawings, 

and replace with the drawing titled Schedule 3 (Modification) Page 1 of 2

The Line Order requires amending to add the Glan Llyn and Dcoks Way Junction and Links into the
