Burglary
September 2012
Activity Summary:
There were fifteen(15) burglaries reported in September 2012. There were twenty(20) burglaries reported
during the same timeframe in 2011. This is a 25% decrease from 2011 to 2012.
Eleven (11), or73%, of theincidents involved residentiallocations.
Ten (10) incidents, or67%, involved unforced entry.
Four (4) incidents,or27%, were discovered on a Sunday.
Five (5) incidents, or33%, were discovered between the hours of0800 1159 and five (5) were discovered
between the hours of2000 - 2359.
Eight (8) incidents are openfor further investigation, three (3) have been closed with leads exhausted and
four (4) have been closed due to victim refusal to cooperate.
Historically, HPD has an average of 20 burglaries during the month of September with a current threshold of 14 to 26.
This September, we were withinthethreshold with 15 reported burglaries.
Forecast for October:The average number of burglaries for the month of October is 17 plus or minus 4. By the end of October, there is a68% chance HPD will have received between 13 and 21 reported burglaries.
