• PBSC responsible for $4.8 million capital and $1.9 million annual operating;

• City responsible for theft and vandalism in excess of six percent;

• Public bike sharing is especially popular with

tourists,

• providing a great alternative to walking, bus

tours, or transit for sightseeing,

• in addition to the ease of use, low commitment

and flexibility of the system.

• Visitors on bikes can see more of a city,

access natural assets, and

• enjoy cycling infrastructure such as waterfront

trails.
