PTW Walkthrough – 13/06/18 1 PTW Permit to Work Software Pisys PTW is a user-friendly, web-based system to manage and co-ordinate your permits. It is cost-effective, and ideal for any organisation requiring a PTW solution that is available quickly, is easy to learn and use, and customisable. PERMIT TO WORK CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING: • Gain control over your process: create electronic permits at the worksite by completing a PTW form, ensure the PTW is complete, approvals are in place before the job commences, manage handovers and handbacks, record learnings • Gain visibility of your workforce: see what contractors are on site and where they are working. • Co-ordinate jobs and people: demonstrate a clear allocation of responsibilities, even during handover, and clearly defined authority levels for approvals of permits • Ensure permits are available for all planned work. • See ongoing permits on a map, a permit board or in a list – possibly on a big screen inside your factory • Stay informed at all times: view your personal dashboard to see permit information relevant to individual users, e.g. permits awaiting approvals, ongoing permits within that user’s remit • Plan ahead using the Calendar view • Stay on top of paperwork: store all relevant documentation (e.g. entry certs) in one place • Find historic permits and associated documents easily using the Search facility • Learn from past permits and usage of the Permit system using the Statistics pages and Export Data facility HERE’S HOW PISYS PTW WORKS: • Users can create, edit, sign off and issue permits. • Access to the system is via username and password. • Sign-off is restricted to authorised users. • Permits can be viewed in a List, on a Permit Board, or on a map of the work site/facility. • Permits can be approved at the worksite using iPad/tablet. • Permits can be printed for display at the worksite. • Permits can be “handed back”, to confirm work has been done and worksite has been left safe. • The system is fully configurable by companies themselves – to use their own question sets, terminology and locations • All data is stored in a Microsoft SQL server database. The system can be accessed via a browser (IE 11 or later or Google Chrome/Safari) • Pisys supports the PTW system from the Helpdesk at their headquarters in Aberdeen, providing remote diagnostics and remediation support. True accountability with Real Signatures. Users can enter their signature onto the website via an iPad or a PC touch screen. Work on your mobile or tablet – not tied to any specific location. Keep a record of all your permits in one place – electronically.
