PTTEP1 team has found the Sucker Rod Load at

UT1-7/D7 well was too high with a strange noise at Gear Reducer.

Why improving “Reliability or Efficiency”? :By reducing the Sucker Rod Load, we can mitigate production cost as we could reduce the load of electrical motor Also the strange noise at Gear Reducer couldmotor. Also, the strange noise at Gear Reducer could cause major damage to equipment.

SOLUTION with COST/ BENEFIT :

Adjust Counter Balance Weight by 40 centimeters to reduce load in Up Stroke cycle.

• Eliminate strange noise in Gear Reducer causes prolong life time of Gear Reducer.

RESULTS AND VALUE :

The electrical consumption is reduced as follow;

Before: Up Stroke cycle consume electrical current of 40 A and Down Stroke cycle consume 35 A.

After:Up Stroke cycle consume electrical current of 25 A and Down Stroke cycle consume 25 A.
