The neutralposition eliminates backpressure from the pumpallowing the operator to handle the load rather thanfight the truck. Articulated Steer Wheels Crown manufactures thesteer and load wheelsbecause these componentsare critical to durability, aswell as handling andcontrol. The 7" steer wheelsimprove handling and con-trol, while articulated wheelsensure continual contactwith the floor, which isespecially important onuneven surfaces.

Durability startswith a deep, low-profileframe cross brace betweenthe forks and continues withthe steel forgings used onthe lift link arms. Its hydraulicunit is built to withstand thou-sands of lift/lower cycles.The bushings in the lift struc-ture of the PTH 50 Series areof the same durable designused in all Crown trucks, aTeflon-impregnated bronzewith steel backing. Even thehub cap enhances overalldurability, protecting thebearing and steer axle fromside impact damage.

Dual Entry/Exit SystemDual systems that combinerollers and ramps areprovided for both pallet entryand exit. The metal rampsallow the pallet boards toslide onto the rollers which inturn ensures that thePTH 50 Series will virtuallyglide in and out of any pallet.

Box-Section Style PushRodsThe application of box-section style push rods,which are stronger andmore durable than other

push rod designs, alsodemonstrates Crown’scommitment to reliability.

C-Channel Design of ForksFor maximum strength, forksare made from C-channel-design formed steel withsteel reinforcing members atkey stress areas. Standardfork lengths are availablefrom 36" to 72", and otherlengths are available. Overalllength is only another 14",which gives these trucksexcellent maneuverability insmaller spaces.
