Do you know what those events all have in common? They are organized and funded by the efforts of the Lothian Elementary PTA!

They are only made possible with your fundraising efforts and our amazing staff and parent volunteers! Without those things, these events would NOT happen.

So again - thank you, thank you, thank you! Please remember that when you donate or volunteer - you’re providing enriching experiences and resources that benefit the lives of ALL of our students!

What’s going on?!?!

Joe Corbi’s Fundraiser Pick Up - November 14th 4 PM - 6:30 PM It’s time to deliver all of those great items that you sold for our Joe Corbi’s Fundraiser earlier this year!

Please come to the cafeteria between 4 PM and 6:30 PM on November 14th to pick up your items.

Items MUST be picked up during this time as we don’t have ample freezer room to store unclaimed orders.

How can you help? - We are looking for parents to help families find, double-check, and sign out their orders. If you are able to give us a hand, please reach out to us.

Father-Daughter Fall Harvest Ball - November 17th 7 PM - 8:30 PM, Lothian Elementary Cafeteria

The young ladies of Lothian are cordially invited to dance the night away at the Fall Harvest Ball.

Bring your knight (father, grandfather, uncle, brother, family friend) for music, a photo booth, and refreshments.

Tickets for the evening are $10 per family.

Ticket forms have been sent home and are due with payment by Wednesday, November 15th. Tickets will not be sold at the door. An email confirmation will be sent prior to the dance.

How can you help? - This is a fun event to help with. We’ll need parents to decorate, help with the front door, assist with the photo booth, serve refreshments, and clean up. More hands make light work - contact us if you can lend a hand.

What’s else is going on?!?!

Santa Shop - December 13th - 15th Your student will be able to shop for gifts at the PTA’s 2017 Santa Shop.

They can make a list and check it twice to make sure they got Mom, Dad, and even the dog something nice.

Gifts are $1, so have you child start saving their money and making their list.

How can you help? - We need volunteers to run our shop as students come to look around and make their selections. We’ll be scheduling 3 volunteers per shift throughout the three Santa Shop days. Please contact us if you can help in the shop.

Spaghetti Dinner & Auction - February 23rd It’s not too early to save the date for our annual Spaghetti Dinner & Auction - one of our biggest fundraisers of the year which puts money into the school’s technology fund and provides extra instructional material not covered in the general budget.

How can you help? - Can your business or employer provide merchandise or a gift certificate to be offered as a silent auction item? If so, please let us know so that we can circle up with you in January. If you want to donate sooner, we can provide a donation receipt for 2017.

Mother-Son Date Night - March 16 We are in planning mode for our 3rd annual Mother-Son Date Night!

This is such a fun event for our guys, and it's a great time for them to bond with those special women in their lives.

How can you help? - Get on our planning committee! Help us work out the details for this special night.

Box Tops for Education - 2017/2018 Update We have a long way to go to hit our $1,500 Box Top goal, but we can do it!

Students have submitted over $100 in Box Tops. One hefty submission from a student in Ms. McManus’s class has put 1st Grade in the lead!

Keep those Box Tops coming and don’t forget to label your bag with your grade.

Thank you Justin Berk for the fall STEM Assembly Our lions loved the fall STEM Assembly with Justin Berk. Justin taught the kids about storms and how to stay smart in tricky weather situations. He put on a fun presentation and answered questions for our K through 5 classes.

Chick-fil-A Cow Calendars - Get them before December 10th! We have 2018 calendars from Chick-fil-A on sale for only $8.

These calendars have an attached rewards card which gives you one complimentary item per month in 2018 (valued at over $36). Please send your money to the PTA in an envelope with your name, child’s name, and child’s teacher, and we will send it home with them.

The PTA will receive a portion of the sale, and you’ll get some great deals - win, win!
