Why EQ and Leadership?“Business leaders are no longer being defined by their IQs or even their technical skills. It is theiremotional intelligence that makes the difference. Leadership Potential

The Leadership Potential areas are designed to be “agnostic”; in other words, are designed to fit into most of the commonly used leadership frameworks. They are seen as key skill areas for transformational lead. The 4 pillars of Leadership Potential are:• Authenticity• Coaching• Insight• InnovationThese four areas of leadership potential are provided as “lenses” through which to view key leadership characteristics, but that the focus of our attention will ultimately be the EQ-i 2.0 subscales (the underlying aspects of emotional intelligence) that fuel each of these areas.

The leadership potential page will help leaders to identify:

• four core areas of leadership competency• six subscales associated with each competency• four potential area of leadership derailers
