A Bigger Picture Brings Images to Life! The PT-AX200U is ideal for watching sports events or playing video games in daytime conditions and surely for viewing

movies in a dark room. Powerful 2,000-lumen brightness and new Light Harmonizer 2 technology make it easy for people to

enjoy vibrant, dynamic images even if they don't have a special theater room. Panasonic’s advanced technologies improve

color reproduction accuracy in movies, to deliver images with a refined “Hollywood picture quality,” making this projector

ideal as the heart of a home cinema system.

2,000-Lumen Brightness—Brightest in its Class*1

Panasonic developed an extremely powerful lamp to realize an out-standing brightness of 2,000 lumens, brightest in its class.*1

Light Harmonizer 2 Brings Crisp Picture in Various LightingsTogether with the 2,000-lumens brightness, Panasonic’s LightHarmonizer 2 technology produces vivid and easy to see images evenin the kind of bright lighting that makes images from other projectorslook whitish, faded or lacking indetail. In addition, it has a built-inambient light sensor (ALS) that mea-sures the amount of light in yourroom to optimize the picture qualityat different lighting conditions.*2

Light Harmonizer 2 circuit not onlyadjusts the gamma curve, but alsocontrols iris setting, lamp power, andpicture sharpness to maintain easy, comfortable viewing at all times.

Game Mode for Stress-Free PlayingThe PT-AX200U features a “Game” mode that improvessignal processing for better response, allowing you toplay games with minimal stress. It also reveals gradation in saturatedareas to show details that are otherwise lost in very dark areas.

Cinema 1 Mode Offers Hollywood Picture QualityPanasonic worked with experts in Hollywood—the movie capital of theworld—to create the ideal image reproduction for viewing movies. Thisallows the PT-AX200U to deliver true Hollywood picture quality, withimages that faithfully express the director’s artistic intent.

Pure Color FilterThe Pure Color Filter was born from Panasonic’spursuit of optical technology that delivers trueHollywood picture quality. The light spectrum isadjusted to produce a level of light that maximizesthe performance of the LCD panels, which expandsthe color range and produces truer blacks.

Smooth Screen TechnologyDeveloped exclusively by Panasonic, thiseffectively reduces the black lines betweenpixels that mar picture quality. The high-definition picture of the PT-AX200U isremarkably smooth and film-like, whileremaining amazingly sharp and detailed.

Dynamic IrisDynamic Iris has been refined to provide deeper, richer blacks needed for true image reproductionwith stunning smoothness. This technology adjuststhe lamp power, iris, and gamma curve according todata obtained from frame-by-frame histogram analy-sis of the image brightness level.

Advanced Dynamic Sharpness ControlThe new Advanced Dynamic Sharpness Control determines image areasthat need to be sharpened at varying degrees by examining smallchanges in brightness levels within the image. This greatly reducesnoise amplification and delivers clear and natural looking images.

2x Optical Zoom LensThe 2x optical zoom lens provides a widethrow range that gives you outstanding setupflexibility, letting you enjoy large-screen view-ing in different sized rooms. Position it on atable in front of you, suspend it from the ceil-ing, or place it on a bookshelf behind you.

Vertical and Horizontal Lens ShiftAdjust the positioning of the picture verticallyand horizontally by simply operating a joy-stick. The shift range is 63% of the screenheight for vertical adjustment, and 25% of thescreen width for horizontal adjustment.

Two HDMI InputsTwo HDMI inputs let you connect two devices, such as a BD player and game console, atthe same time, using HDMI cables. This elim-inates the need for anHDMI switcher.

Simple, Convenient Remote ControlThe remote control is intu-itively laid out for ease ofuse. The picture modeselect buttons are dividedinto “Theater Room” and“Living Room” to separatethe modes into those rec-ommended for dark roomviewing and bright roomviewing respectively.

Other Features• Seven picture modes include game, vividcinema, normal, dynamic, cinema 1, cinema 2and natural. • User equalizing function letsyou adjust the high, mid and low gamma lev-els. • Up to eight sets of adjustment settings

can be stored in memory with custom namesthat make them easy to remember. • Scene-adaptive resizing LSI improves quality whenresizing 480p images or those from othersources with resolution lower than the PT-AX200’s native resolution. • Cinema ColorManagement allows individual color correc-tion • Scene-adaptive MPEG noise reductioneffectively blocks regular noise and minimizesmosquito noise. • 24p compatible • Progressive cinema scan (3/2 pulldown) andHD IP • Quiet operation (25 dB) and frontexhaust • On-screen input guidance • Autoinput search • Off-timer • Normal/economylamp power selection • Built-in test pattern

*1: The projector uses a type of liquid crystal panel that typically consists ofmillions of pixels. This panel is built with very high-precision technologydesigned to provide one of the finest possible images. Occasionally, a fewpixels may remain turned on (bright) or turned off (dark). Please note thatthis is an intrinsic characteristic of the manufacturing technology thataffects all products using LCD technology.

*2: The projector uses a high-voltage mercury lamp that contains high internalpressure. This lamp may break, emitting a large sound, or fail to illumi-nate, due to impact or extended use. The length of time that it takes forthe lamp to break or fail to illuminate varies greatly depending on individ-ual lamp characteristics and usage conditions.

*3: Measurement, measuring conditions, and method of notation all complywith ISO 21118 international standards.

*4: In AI mode, with dynamic iris on*5: Shift range is limited during simultaneous horizontal and vertical shifting.*6: Excluding protrusions
