Introduction Legislative Requirements: Most training delivered by Australian Skills Training requires that persons being assessed have a good understanding of current Occupational Safety and Health Legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. Course Detail: D. TAE40110 Certificate IV Training and Assessment

The TAE40110 will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Achievement of this qualification is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration (AQTF2010). Australian Skills Training takes a hand on and fun approach to this course. It crosses industry types, and is applicable within training organizations, enterprise or in other workplace contexts. M&O Indonesia II. OFFSHORE SAFETY AND SURVIVAL TRAINING

M&O Indonesia is a division of PT Australian Skills Training (Indonesia), has recently become an OPITO approved training centre for : 1. BOSIET, TBOSIET, FOET, T-FOET, T-EBS, TSbB, Bridging course 2. Other Marine and Offshore Emergency Training (Safety at Sea Training, Fire

The facility was installed at AST’s existing training centre on Batam Island, Indonesia in early 2009 and commissioned in early 2010. The facility and expertise is provided through AST’s sister company M&O Indonesia an international specialist in Offshore Safety Training. The facility is a significant increase in our capability and enables us to cater for a wider range of training for Oil & Gas clients in SE Asia.

Project Jun 2010 TRAINING IN WEST IRIAN JAYA – PT FREEPORT INDONESIA

Australia Skills Training recently delivered its first training course (Advanced Rigging) for PT Freeport in Indonesia. The Grasberg mine as it is known is one of the largest gold and copper mining operations in the world. Located 4000m above sea level in the rugged mountains of Irian Jaya (West Papua), the operation is complicated by high rainfall, steep slopes and security issues. The mine employs over 20,000 people and is the largest tax payer to the Indonesia government




Project Jun 2010 TRAINING IN INDIA

AST Trainer Ric Thomson completed a program of training in Jharkhand province in India this month. The training was conducted at a Cement Plant owned and operated by French company Lafarge. In total, 120 persons received training in Height Safety with an additional group of site personnel completing training in scaffold erection. The training was aimed at improving awareness of height safety issues and implementing controls to work safely at height.

Lafarge Cement Plant Re-Construction in Banda Aceh, Indonesia

AST is currently providing a scaffolding team in partnership with the Kaefer Group to erect complex scaffolds at the plant. The requirement came about due to a lack of expertise is this area and the companies insistence that these tasks be carried out by qualified personnel. Under the supervision of AST Consultants a team of 10 scaffolders are onsite erecting scaffolds to enable external insulation and internal refractory bricks to be installed safely.
