As Lilly was in the car, she kept on looking back

at her family. They kept on getting smaller, and

smaller, and smaller until she couldn’t see them

anymore. Lilly just arrived at the dock where her

boat to New Jersey was. She was scared. But

she knew she had to do it and be brave. As Lilly

was on the ship she was silent the whole way,

unless she had to use the restroom. When Lilly

got off the ship she saw Rhode Island. She

thought she was supposed to be in New Jersey!

Well I guess her master told her the wrong place.

Then a tall skinny man came walking towards her.

Then the man asked, “ Are you Lilly Rogers?”.

Lilly replied , “Yes I am.”. “Well then, hop in the

car and we will go.” The man said. “Oh I forgot to

introduce myself. I am your new master, Ethan

Stone.” he said, as Lilly got in the car. She kept on

thinking about her family. She missed them so

much! As they pulled up to the big house, Lilly

was amazed!!!!!! It was like a palace in there!!!!!!

Then Ethan Stone showed Lilly her new room. It

was HUGE!!!!!!!! She loved it!!!!!

As Lilly un-packed, she found a picture of

her and her family. She started to cry. Why

did I have to leave? She thought. Then she

heard Ethan Stone calling her from the din-

ing room. Lilly came down stairs to Ethan

Stone. Ethan Stone asked, “ Lilly can you

wash the tables and mop the floor?” Lilly re-

plied, “ Yes master.” Lilly went and did as she

was told. After 40 minutes Ethan told Lilly to

get some food and go to bed. So Lilly got

food and went to bed.

The next morning it was Lilly’s 8th birth-

day!! She got cake!! After she ate some

cake she heard a knock at the door. Her

master smiled. She wondered why he was

smiling?? Then Ethan went to go get the

door. As he opened it ,Lilly got up and went

over. She asked herself, who could it be??

Then she heard a voice say “ Hi Lilly!! We

missed you !” . Lilly remembered that voice

from somewhere. It sounded like her mom.

“Mommy is that you?”. She asked. “Yes it is

also Rosetta and daddy. We missed you so

much.”. Then Lilly ran and gave them all a

BIG huge!!! “ This is my 2nd day and I al-

ready get to see you!!”Lilly exclaimed. Then

she looked at Ethan. Ethan said, “ Lilly I am

releasing you from being a slave. Enjoy the

rest of your life.”. Then, Lilly ran and hugged

Ethan. Lilly said, “ Thank you so much!!”.

Then Lilly and her family left. They went to

their new house, but Lilly has know idea

what was happening. Lilly asked, “ Where

are we going???”. Her dad said, “Well Ethan

bought us a house! Isn’t that amazing?”. Lilly

replied, “ Yes that is awesome.”. Then they

went to their new home.

After 20 years, Lilly’s parents died both at

the age of 72. then Lilly’s sister died at the

age of 86. After that Lilly moved back to

Pennsylvania. She married John Blackman

and they had 4 kids. They named them Vio-

let, Daisy, Jason, and David. After that Lilly

lived till she was 94. Before Lilly Rogers died

she said, “ Even though I was a slave, I still
